Czech Table Tennis Association
The Czech Table Tennis Association ( cs, Česká asociace stolního tenisu) is the National Sporting Organisation for the Sport of Table Tennis in the Czech Republic and is affiliated with the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) which oversees the international governance and development of Table Tennis and the ETTU (European Table Tennis Union) which oversees the sport development at a regional level. Czech Table Tennis Association is member of the Czech Olympic Committee. History Table Tennis Association was created in 1926 as Czechoslovak Table Tennis Association. Table Tennis
Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small solid rackets. It takes place on a hard table divided by a net. Except for the initial serve, the rules are generally as follows: Players must allow a ball played toward them to bounce once on their side of the table and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side. A point is scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules. Play is fast and demands quick reactions. Spinning the ball alters its trajectory and limits an opponent's options, giving the hitter a great advantage. Czech Republic
The Czech Republic, or simply Czechia, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. The European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) is the governing body of the sport of table tennis in Europe, and is the only authority recognised for this purpose by the International Table Tennis Federation. The Czech Olympic Committee ( cs, Český olympijský výbor) is the National Olympic Committee (NOC) representing the Czech Republic.
