The Czech Republic, or simply Czechia, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Ivo Ulich
Ivo Ulich (born 9 September 1974) is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Ulich played for Slavia Prague, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Vissel Kobe and Dynamo Dresden. He retired from football in 2008, but stayed with Dynamo Dresden as a scout. Ulich spent most of his Gambrinus liga career at Slavia Prague. In 1995, as a player of SK Hradec Králové, he won the Talent of the Year award at the Czech Footballer of the Year awards. Jozef Chovanec
Jozef Chovanec (born 7 March 1960) is a Czech former professional football player and manager. Playing career As a player, Chovanec spent almost his whole career at Sparta Prague. In 1988, he moved to the Netherlands, to play briefly for PSV Eindhoven. He played for Czechoslovakia and was a participant in the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Coaching career As a football manager he coached the Czech Republic from 1998 to 2001. He managed to qualify his team to Euro 2000 but then failed to do so for the World Cup 2002, being eliminated by Belgium in the play-off matches two times by 1–0. On 8 October 2008, Chovanec returned to AC Sparta Prague for his fourth spell as manager and parted from the club in December 2011. Vlastimil Petržela
Vlastimil Petržela (born 20 July 1953 in Prostějov) is a Czech football coach and former player. He worked with Zenit Saint Petersburg from 2003 to 2006, winning the silver medals of Russian Premier League in 2003 and reaching the quarterfinal stage of the 2005–06 UEFA Cup. Before Zenit he managed Sparta Prague and Bohemians Prague. As a player, he appeared for Czechoslovakia at the 1982 FIFA World Cup as a substitute against Kuwait. Petržela signed a three-year contract as manager of FK Mladá Boleslav in 2002, however before the end of the calendar year it was announced that he was heading to Russia to be the new manager of Zenit St. Petersburg. Dušan Uhrin (born 5 February 1943) is a Czech and Slovak football coach and former player. He was the coach of Slovan Bratislava. Although he was born in the Nitra District in the Slovak part of Czechoslovakia, he has lived in Prague since the age of 16. He coached the Czech Republic national football team at the 1996 UEFA European Championship, where the Czech Republic were runners up. He also coached Kuwait between 1999 and 2002.
