''Czarface Meets Metal Face'' is the first collaborative album by American hip hop supergroup Czarface and British-American rapper MF Doom. It was released on March 30, 2018 through Get On Down, a Boston-based record label. The album features guest appearances from Vinnie Paz, Open Mike Eagle, Blacastan and Kendra Morris. It was the last release by MF Doom before his death on October 31, 2020. The two previously collaborated on the song "Ka-Bang!" on Czarface's 2015 album ''Every Hero Needs a Villain'', and 2017's ''First Weapon Drawn''. Reception ''Czarface Meets Metal Face'' received generally favourable reviews upon its release. Czarface () is an American hip hop supergroup formed in 2013 by underground hip hop duo 7L & Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck. They released their acclaimed debut studio album, '' Czarface'', February 19, 2013. The album was followed by '' Every Hero Needs a Villain'' in 2015 and '' A Fistful of Peril'' in 2016, both of which were also praised by critics. Robert Thomas Christgau ( ; born April 18, 1942) is an American music journalist and essayist. Esoteric (rapper)
Seamus Ryan (born July 24, 1978), better known by his stage name Esoteric, is a Boston-based underground hip-hop artist. Esoteric is half of the hip hop duo 7L & Esoteric, a third of Czarface and is a member of underground hip-hop collectives Army of the Pharaohs and Demigodz. He started his solo career in 2007. Career 1993-1996: Early career and "7L & Esoteric" The duo formed in 1993 when Esoteric DJed a hip hop show at a college radio station, WMWM 91.7FM north of Boston. 7L, a DJ and producer who listened to the show, contacted Esoteric in the interest of collaborating. Inspectah Deck
Jason Richard Hunter (born July 6, 1970), better known by his stage name Inspectah Deck, is an American rapper, producer, and actor. He is a member of the groups Wu-Tang Clan and Czarface. He has acquired critical praise for his intricate lyricism, and for his verses on many of the group's most revered songs. He has grown to become a producer in his own right, taking up tracks for fellow Wu rappers and his own projects. Early life Hunter was born July 6, 1970 and grew up in Staten Island. Weighted Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. Kendra Morris (born April 10, 1981) is an American soul singer-songwriter based in New York City, originally from St. Petersburg, Florida. Career Morris was a contestant on Fuse TV's ''Redemption Song''. She was signed to Wax Poetics, and in 2011 released her first single, "Concrete Waves" (which later received a remix from DJ Premier). Also in 2011, she joined Dennis Coffey on tour, performing lead vocals. Her debut album, ''Banshee'', was released in August 2012 from Naïve Records. Michael W. Eagle II (born November 14, 1980), better known by his stage name Open Mike Eagle, is an American hip hop artist and comedian. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he is now based in Los Angeles, California, where he is a member of the hip hop collective Project Blowed. He has also been a member of Thirsty Fish, Swim Team, and Cavanaugh. Vincenzo Luvineri (born October 5, 1977), better known as Vinnie Paz (formerly known as Ikon the Verbal Hologram), is a Sicilian Americans, Sicilian American rapper and producer behind the Philadelphia underground hip hop group Jedi Mind Tricks.
