The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD, often referred to as Cy-Fair) is an independent school district with its headquarters in northwest unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. Cy-Fair ISD is the largest Recognized school district in the state of Texas with 75 out of 78 campuses receiving an 'Exemplary' or 'Recognized' rating by the Texas Education Agency in 2010. The district covers a small portion of Houston (including the Fairbanks section), the city of Jersey Village, and other unincorporated areas in Harris County (including Cypress). Bridgeland High School
Bridgeland High School is a high school in the Bridgeland community in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. It is part of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD). History Michael Smith is the first principal of Bridgeland High School. Before Bridgeland opened, he was the principal of Cy-Fair High School. The opening relieved Cypress Ranch High School. Cypress Park High School (nicknamed Cy Park) is a high school located in Cypress, an unincorporated area of Harris County, Texas, in Greater Houston. It is a part of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) and is in its southwestern part. History CFISD purchased the site that now contains Cypress Park High in 2006. The district considered building a new high school there shortly after the purchase occurred, but it delayed its plans due to the Texas state government removing funding to the district and the Great Recession. The district resumed its plans due to an increase of students in the district. Cy-Park is the district's 11th traditional high school to open; it was tentatively known as "HS No. 11" until the CFISD board approved the school's permanent name in August 2015. Cypress Springs High School, CSHS, or more commonly as Cy-Springs is located at 7909 Fry Road, in Cypress, an unincorporated community in Harris County, Texas. Cypress Springs High School was established in 1997, making it the sixth high school within Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District to open its doors to students in the Cypress and Katy areas. Since 2015, the school's principal has been Dr. Cheryl T. Henry. Langham Creek High School is a high school located in an unincorporated area in Harris County, Texas, United States, near Houston. Langham Creek, which was established in 1984, is part of the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District. Several communities, including Concord Bridge, Westgate, Northglen, Copper Lakes, and parts of the Copperfield subdivision, are zoned to the school.
