Cynthia Phua
Cynthia Phua Siok Gek ( zh, c=潘惜玉, p=Pān Xīyù, born 19 August 1958) is a Singaporean business executive and former politician. She was a Member of Parliament of Aljunied GRC for the Paya Lebar Ward from 25 October 2001 to 19 April 2011. Career Phua was the general manager of NTUC Fairprice Co-operative's real estate business unit and the managing director of estate management company SLF Management Services. She had also served as Chief Executive Officer of Bishan–Toa Payoh Town Council and Chairman of Aljunied Town Council. She was a Member of Parliament of Aljunied GRC (Paya Lebar Ward) who represented the People's Action Party (PAP) from 25 October 2001 to 19 April 2011. The Workers' Party (abbreviation: WP) is a major centre-left political party in Singapore and is one of the three contemporary political parties represented in Parliament, alongside the governing People's Action Party (PAP) and opposition Progress Singapore Party (PSP). It is currently the largest opposition party in Parliament. It is also one of the two oldest parties active in the country, having contested every parliamentary election since 1959, the other being the PAP. Low Thia Khiang
Low Thia Khiang (; born 5 September 1956) is a Singaporean former politician who served as Secretary-General of the Workers' Party (WP) between 2001 and 2018. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hougang SMC between 1991 and 2011 and Aljunied GRC between 2011 and 2020. He was one of the two opposition MPs in Parliament. Low made his political debut in the 1991 general election where he contested in Hougang SMC as a WP candidate. He was appointed Secretary-General of the Workers' Party on 27 May 2001. George Yeo Yong-Boon ( zh, s=杨荣文, p=Yáng Róngwén; born 13 September 1954) is a Singaporean former politician and brigadier-general who served as Minister for Foreign Affairs between 2004 and 2011. The Aljunied Group Representation Constituency is a five-member group representation constituency (GRC) in the north-eastern and eastern region of Singapore. The GRC consists of five divisions: Eunos, Bedok Reservoir-Punggol, Kaki Bukit, Serangoon and Paya Lebar. The current MPs are Pritam Singh, Sylvia Lim, Gerald Giam, Leon Perera and Muhamad Faisal Manap from the Worker's Party (WP).
