Cynopoecilus Intimus
''Cynopoecilus'' is a genus of killifish in the family Rivulidae. They are endemic to seasonal temporary pools in Southern Brazil and northeastern Uruguay. Most species are restricted to the region bordering the Patos– Mirim lagoons, but ''C. feltrini'' is found at the Tubarão River (north of the lagoons) and ''C. intimus'' is found at the middle Gravataí River (inland from the lagoons).Costa, W.J.E.M., Amorim, P.F. & Mattos, J.L.O. Charles Tate Regan
Charles Tate Regan FRS (1 February 1878 – 12 January 1943) was a British ichthyologist, working mainly around the beginning of the 20th century. He did extensive work on fish classification schemes. Born in Sherborne, Dorset, he was educated at Derby School and Queens' College, Cambridge and in 1901 joined the staff of the Natural History Museum, where he became Keeper of Zoology, and later director of the entire museum, in which role he served from 1927 to 1938. Regan was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1917. Regan mentored a number of scientists, among them Ethelwynn Trewavas, who continued his work at the British Natural History Museum. ''Campellolebias'' is a genus of killifish in the family Rivulidae from southeast Brazil. They are restricted to seasonal blackwater pools in forests in coastal parts of Santa Catarina and São Paulo states. They are small fish, up to in total length. Uniquely among killifish, ''Campellolebias'' and the closely related '' Cynopoecilus'' have internal fertilization. A part of the males' anal fin forms a "pseudo-gonopodium" that is used for inseminating the female.
