Robert Downs (born 24 July 1955) is a former English professional cyclist from Basildon, Essex. Cycling career He won the Sealink International in 1980 and competed at the 1980 Moscow Olympics in the Men's 100 kilometres Team Time Trial. He represented England in the road race, at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Four years later he represented England and won a gold medal in the team time trial, at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He rode for Manchester Wheelers' Club and was a professional between 1984 and 1989 ending his career with Percy Bilton. David Weller
David Weller (born 11 February 1957) is a retired Jamaican track cyclist. Weller won a bronze medal in Cycling at the 1980 Summer Olympics – Men's 1000m time trial, 1000 metres time trial at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, becoming the first (and still the only) Jamaican to win an Olympic medal in another sport than sport of athletics, athletics. Craig Robert Adair (born 31 January 1963) is a New Zealand track cyclist. Adair was born in Christchurch in 1963. Under the guidance of Wayne Thorpe, he represented New Zealand at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane. Despite being a novice at the event and only 18 years old, Adair won the gold medal in the 1 km time trial. Adair then attended the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, when he came fifth in the 1 km time trial. Later, Adair was the manager of the New Zealand track cycling team. From 1987, he had various cycle shops under the trade name "Craig Adair Cycles" throughout Christchurch (on Colombo Street, Riccarton Road, and in Linwood City Mall). Adair was the event mechanic for the 1987 Coast to Coast, where a crash involving 20 cyclists cleaned him out of spare parts. Jack Swart (born 1954) is a former New Zealand road cyclist. In the 1978 Commonwealth Games he competed in the 4000m team pursuit, coming 2nd for silver; and the 4000m individual pursuit. . In the 1982 Commonwealth Games he competed in the Team time trial, coming 3rd for bronze; and the Road Race, coming 15th. He was not chosen for the 1984 Summer Olympics despite a world-class performance in the Coors International in Colorado, the selectors apparently regarded him as a tour rider not an individual racer despite having won two New Zealand road championships. Blair Goldesbrough Stockwell (born 17 December 1949) is a former racing cyclist & business owner from New Zealand. He won three bronze medals representing New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games. Cycling career At the 1970 British Commonwealth Games he won the bronze medal in the men's individual pursuit over 4000 m. Four years later at the 1974 British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch he won a bronze riding as part of the team pursuit.
