Cuéntame (Lucerito Album)
''Cuéntame'' (''Eng: Tell me'') is the sixth and last studio album released by Mexican performer Lucerito. It was released in 1989. Most of the songs included on the album were used in the film ''Deliciosa Sinvergüenza'' (1990); the album also includes a cover of The Pet Shop Boys' "It's a Sin" titled "Hojas Secas". ''Cuéntame'' is one of the biggest sellers on the singer's career, and was the album that inicitated the transition from teenager, being the last album using the diminutive Lucerito. ''Cuéntame'' was executive produced by Spanish producer Miguel Blasco and produced by José Ramón Florez, with Florez writing most of the tracks included. Five singles were released, included the title track which peaked at number 2 in the ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Tracks chart in the United States; "Corazón a la Deriva" (also a top-ten hit in the same chart), "Tanto", "Madre", and "Caso Perdido", were also used to promote the album. The ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs (formerly Hot Latin Tracks and Hot Latin 50) is a record chart in the United States for Latin songs, published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. Since October 2012, chart rankings are based on digital sales, radio airplay, and online streaming, and only predominantly Spanish language songs are allowed to rank. The chart was established by the magazine on September 6, 1986, and was originally based on airplay on Latin music radio stations. Songs on the chart were not necessarily in Spanish language, since a few songs in English and Portuguese language have also charted. The first number one song of the Hot Latin Songs chart was "La Guirnalda" by Rocío Dúrcal on September 6, 1986. As of the issue for the week ending on December 24, 2022, the chart has had 452 different number one hits, while 181 artists have reached number one (as a lead or a featured act). Christopher Sean Lowe (born 4 October 1959) is an English musician, singer and songwriter, and co-founder of the synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, which he formed with Neil Tennant in 1981. Biography Lowe attended Arnold School, an independent school in his home town Blackpool, Lancashire. Whilst at school, he played trombone in a seven-piece dance band called One Under the Eight that played old-time favourites like " Hello Dolly", " La Bamba" and " Moon River". Lowe's grandfather had been a trombonist and was a member of comedy jazz troupe The Nitwits. Lowe also learned to play the piano. Lowe studied architecture at the University of Liverpool from 1978 but, as he stated on television appearances and in the ''Life in Pop'' documentary, never graduated, due to the formation of Pet Shop Boys. Neil Francis Tennant (born 10 July 1954) is an English musician, singer, songwriter and music journalist, and co-founder of the synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, which he formed with Chris Lowe in 1981. He was a journalist for ''Smash Hits'', and assistant editor for the magazine in the mid-1980s. Tennant coined the phrase imperial phase to describe the period in which a musical artist is regarded to be at their commercial and creative peak simultaneously. ''Con Mi Sentimiento'' (English: ''With my love''), released in 1990, is the seventh album from Mexican pop music singer and actress Lucero, and her first album in Mariachi music with the participation of Mariachi Vargas of Tecalitlan. Since Lucero was working in the Mexican soap opera "Cuando llega el amor" this album didn't have any promotion, nevertheless the album went gold and platinum in Mexico, with sales of 250,000 copies, and it reached #9 in the Top Regional Mexican Albums in ''Billboard''. Also represents the first time Lucero had a hit in the Hot Latin Tracks in United States as Lucero, with "Te Tuve y Te Perdi" peaking at #22.
