Custom Robo (series)
is an action role-playing game, action role-playing video game series developed by Noise (company), Noise and published by Nintendo. The series currently spans five games, and has titles on the Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, GameCube, and Nintendo DS. Only the two most recent titles have seen a release outside of Japan. Custom Robo Arena, The most recent title in the series was first released in Japan on October 19, 2006, later seeing international release in 2007. International release Beginning in 1999, the ''Custom Robo'' series has largely been exclusive to Japan. In 2001, however, Nintendo released ''Super Smash Bros. Melee'', a fighting game containing characters from throughout the company's history, worldwide. In the title's trophy room, three custom robos from ''Custom Robo V2'' appeared as trophies: ''Ray Mk II'', ''Bayonette'', and ''Annie''. , known in North America as ''Custom Robo,'' is an action role-playing game developed by Noise and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. It is the fourth title of the ''Custom Robo'' series, and the first title of the series released outside Japan. Gameplay Each player is called a "commander", who pilots and customizes a miniature "robo" to battle each other in a virtual arena called a Holosseum; the average robo is 32 centimeters tall. The majority of the story takes place in a campaign-like mode titled "A New Journey". After this mode is completed, the player may choose to go through the story again or select a new mode consisting of a series of tournaments called "The Grand Battle". The main objective of the game is to engage in battle with other robos, collect every custom robo, battle part, and item that the player wants; winning every battle moves the player from one part of the storyline to the next.
