It was released on July 6, 2010 and is Michaels' first studio album since 2005's ''Freedom of Sound''. Announced on Michaels' Facebook, due to his recovery period, the album had been moved to July 6, 2010. Background During the making of this album, Michaels was on the TV reality show '' Celebrity Apprentice 3'' on NBC and was announced the winner on May 23, 2010. Bradley James Nowell (February 22, 1968 – May 25, 1996) was an American musician and the lead singer and guitarist of the ska punk band Sublime. Born and raised in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, California, Nowell developed an interest in music at a young age. His father took him on a trip to Jamaica during his childhood years, which exposed him to reggae and dancehall music; he then gained a strong interest in rock music once he learned how to play guitar. Nowell played in various bands until forming Sublime with bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh, whom he had met while attending California State University at Long Beach. "Bud" Gaugh IV (born October 2, 1967) is an American drummer who played in the bands Sublime (1988–1996), Long Beach Dub Allstars (1997–2002), Eyes Adrift (2002–2003), Volcano (2004), and Sublime with Rome (2009–2011), as well as Phil & the Blanx, Del Mar, and Jelly of the Month Club. Biography Gaugh started his drumming career in high school playing snare with the Long Beach Junior Concert Band.
