''Curzoner Kalom'' (The Pen of Curzon) is a Bengali thriller drama film directed by Souvik Mitra and produced by Pawan Kanodia. The film was released on 3 November 2017 under the banner of AVA Film Productions. Plot Lord Curzon gifted his historical pen to a Bengali zaminder in 1905. It is a valuable thing with 10 carat diamond. Curzon signed for the Partition of Bengal in 1905 by this pen which was lost latter from the zaminder family. Papu, an amateur detective and her boyfriend Tutu decide to find the pen from a hidden place before the Durga puja. But few others people are also trying to capture the pen. George Nathaniel Curzon, 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston, (11 January 1859 – 20 March 1925), styled Lord Curzon of Kedleston between 1898 and 1911 and then Earl Curzon of Kedleston between 1911 and 1921, was a British Conservative statesman who served as Viceroy of India from 1899 to 1905. The first Partition of Bengal (1905) was a territorial reorganization of the Bengal Presidency implemented by the authorities of the British Raj. The reorganization separated the largely Muslim eastern areas from the largely Hindu western areas. Announced on 19 July 1905 by Lord Curzon, the then Viceroy of India, and implemented on 16 October 1905, it was undone a mere six years later. The nationalists saw the partition as a challenge to Indian nationalism and that it was a deliberate attempt to divide Bengal on religious grounds, with a Muslim majority in the east and a Hindu majority in the west. The Hindus of West Bengal complained that the division would make them a minority in a province that would incorporate the province of Bihar and Orissa.
