Curtis Cregan
Curtis John Cregan (born January 18, 1977) is an American actor, singer, and dancer. Cregan appeared in the American version of the Australian children's television show ''Hi-5'', and also appeared in 2013's ''The Lone Ranger''. Early life Cregan was born in Vintage, Pennsylvania and raised in Okemos, Michigan, where he attended Okemos High School. He studied with choral director Frank K. DeWald. He attended the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Career His first performing job was as an emcee for the Nickelodeon show at Kings Island. After college, he made his Broadway debut in ''Rent.'' From there, he went on to play such roles as Doody from '' Grease'', Dickon from ''The Secret Garden'' and one of the Von Trapp Family from ''The Sound of Music''. ''Rent'' is a rock musical with music, lyrics, and book by Jonathan Larson, loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's 1896 opera ''La Bohème''. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in Lower Manhattan's East Village in the thriving days of bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The musical was first seen in a workshop production at New York Theatre Workshop in 1993. This same off-Broadway theatre was also the musical's initial home following its official 1996 opening. Tim Maddren
Timothy Maddren (born 3 March 1984) is a New Zealand-born Australian musician best known as a member of the Australian children's musical group Hi-5. He was a replacement for Nathan Foley in 2008. He left Hi-5 in February 2013 after four years. His replacement was Ainsley Melham. Maddren worked at Hi-5 in three seasons (135 episodes). Early life Maddren was born in Blenheim, New Zealand. He was raised in a musical family and was encouraged from an early age to develop his performing and entertaining skills. He plays guitar, piano, trumpet and drums. Maddren is left-handed. In 2003 Maddren moved to Perth, Australia to study at the WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) from which he graduated in 2005. Timothy John Harding (born 1 February 1978) is an Australian musician, singer, guitarist, entertainer and former member of the Australian children's musical group Hi-5. He left Hi-5 on November 14 2007, after nine years with the group due to suffering major injuries following a motorcycle accident. Life and career Harding grew up in Sydney, Australia, with two younger brothers named Peter and James and attended St Andrew's Cathedral School. In 1993 he began a funk band Compos Mentis with his brother Peter, family friend Mike McCarthy and bass player Sam O'Donnell. He does a Bit of Boxing and Surfing. In 1998 whilst studying social work at university, he auditioned for the children's musical group debut in '' Hi-5'' from April 12, 1999. Harding was accepted and remained a core member of the group until he left the group after suffering a broken back and toes in a motorcycle accident at Eastern Creek Raceway earlier on December 19, 2007. Georg Ludwig Von Trapp
Georg Ludwig Ritter von Trapp (4 April 1880 – 30 May 1947) was an officer in the Austro-Hungarian Navy who later became the patriarch of the Trapp Family Singers. Trapp was the most successful Austro-Hungarian submarine commander of World War I, sinking 11 Allied merchant ships totaling 47,653 GRT and two Allied warships displacing a total of 12,641 tons. His first wife Agathe Whitehead died of scarlet fever in 1922, leaving behind seven children. Trapp hired Maria Augusta Kutschera to tutor one of his daughters and married Maria in 1927. When he lost most of his wealth in the Great Depression, the family turned to singing as a way of earning a livelihood. Trapp declined a commission in the German Navy after the Anschluss and settled in the United States.
