Curtin Central Bus Station
Curtin Central bus station is a Transperth bus station located at the Curtin University's Bentley campus. It has twelve stands, six bus layover bays and is served by six Transperth routes operated by Path Transit and Swan Transit. Overview Curtin Central bus station was opened on 17 February 2019. It took 18 months to construct. Initially, 944 buses served the station each weekday. It was a joint project between the Public Transport Authority (PTA) and Curtin University. The total budget was $15 million, with the PTA contributing $5 million, and Curtin University paying for the rest. Bentley, Western Australia
Bentley is a southern suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, southeast of Perth's central business district. Its local government areas are the City of Canning and the Town of Victoria Park. Bentley is home to the main campus of Curtin University of Technology and Technology Park. History Prior to European settlement, the area was originally home to the Beeloo Nyungar people, whose territory extended from the Canning River to the Darling Scarp. The Beeloo hunted and fished in land close to the river, which was then forested with jarrah and marri trees, as much of the metropolitan area was at the time. Manning is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. History The land was originally purchased by Henry Manning in 1856. He was a bachelor and his land in Perth was administered by his brother Charles Alexander Manning, who arrived in the colony in 1854 and subsequently became mayor of Fremantle. The land was left to his brother's descendants. In 1936/37 167 acres was sold by the family to the Christian Brothers for the construction of Aquinas College. The suburb was subdivided in 1948, initially being named The Manning Estate. Eventually Manning became the official name of the area. Cannington Railway Station
Cannington Station is a railway station serving the suburb of Cannington south of Perth, Western Australia. It is located from Perth Station on the Armadale/Thornlie Line, part of the Transperth network. History The original Cannington station was located between Station Street and Crawford Road in East Cannington, and was one of the original stations operational when the Armadale Line opened in 1889. As part of the electrification of the line in the early 1990s, the original Cannington station was replaced by a new station to the north-west. Alexander Drive
Alexander Drive is a major north–south arterial road in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, connecting Perth's central business district (CBD) with Edith Cowan University's Mount Lawley campus and the Malaga industrial area, as well as newer development suburbs to Perth's north.
