Curt Maggitt
Curt Maggitt (born February 4, 1993) is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at Tennessee and signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Early years Maggitt attended and played high school football at William T. Dwyer High School. He played for the Panthers under head coach Jack Daniels. For his senior season, he was named the ''Sun Sentinels Palm Beach County Defensive Player of the Year. College career Maggitt attended and played college football at the University of Tennessee from 2011–2015 under head coaches Derek Dooley and Butch Jones. In the 2011 season, he started eight games at strong-side linebacker as a true freshman. As a sophomore in 2012, he started nine games. In the season opener against NC State, he was credited with an 18-yard sack and forced a fumble that resulted in a safety. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). The Iowa State Cyclones football program is the intercollegiate football team at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. The team is coached by Matt Campbell. The 2012 Tennessee Volunteers football team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Volunteers played their home games at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee and competed in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
