Curious Directive
curious directive is a British Theatre company led by director Jack Lowe. The company is an ensemble of theatre makers and scientists founded in the autumn of 2008 with a production called Return to the Silence. Their productions are devised and written by members of the company, dealing with themes of science. The company uses many threads of theatre tools including cameras, projection, live music and movement. They are building a reputation for their multi-layered narratives spanning different times and spaces. Recent productions have explored astro-biology, the NHS, myrmecology, cognitive neuroscience, light, architecture, genetics, motion and bio-politics. The company explores life in all its diversity and complexity through the lens of science." Theatre or theater is a collaborative form of performing art that uses live performers, usually actors or actresses, to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience in a specific place, often a stage. Greenwich ( , ,) is a town in south-east London, England, within the ceremonial county of Greater London. It is situated east-southeast of Charing Cross. Greenwich is notable for its maritime history and for giving its name to the Greenwich Meridian (0° longitude) and Greenwich Mean Time. Pleasance Theatre
The Pleasance is a theatre, bar, sports and recreation complex in Edinburgh, Scotland, situated on a street of the same name. It is owned by the University of Edinburgh, and for nine months of the year it serves the Edinburgh University Students' Association as a societies centre, sports complex, student union bar and entertainment venue. Every August, it is converted into one of the main venues for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Pleasance Theatre Trust operate the venue during this time, and in this guise the complex is sometimes referred to as Pleasance Edinburgh to distinguish it from a sister venue, also called The Pleasance, that the trust opened in Islington in London in 1995.
