Cured (film)
''Cured'' is an American documentary film, directed by Bennett Singer and Patrick Sammon and released in 2020. The film depicts the inner workings of the campaign that led to homosexuality being delisted from the ''Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders'' in 1973. Release The film premiered on August 24, 2020 at Outfest. With the festival presented virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was subsequently named to the festival's "Encore Week", which presented followup rescreenings of selected films from the festival's official lineup. Ian Honeyman
Ian Honeyman (born 14 August 1978) is an American Los Angeles-based film composer. He has written music for feature films, short films, TV shows. Life and career After studying with composers Chen Yi and Nicholas Maw at Peabody Conservatory, Honeyman moved to Santa Monica, California, to pursue his interest in composing music for film. Alongside German composer Klaus Badelt, he co-wrote scores to such films as '' Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl'' (2003), ''Constantine'' (2005), and ''Poseidon'' (2006). Cleveland International Film Festival
The Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) is an annual film festival based in Cleveland, Ohio. It is the largest film festival in Ohio. It was first held in 1977, showing eight films over a period of eight weeks at the Cedar Lee Theatre. It has since grown and in 2019 consisted of 213 feature films and 237 short films from 71 countries, and over 105,000 in attendance. 2022 will mark the 46th year for the CIFF. GLAAD (), an acronym of Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, is an American non-governmental media monitoring organization originally founded as a protest against defamatory coverage of gay and lesbian demographics and their portrayals in the media and entertainment industries; it has since included bisexual and transgender people. GLAAD Media Award
The GLAAD Media Award is an accolade bestowed by GLAAD to recognize and honor various branches of the media for their outstanding representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives. In addition to film and television, the Awards also recognize achievements in other branches of the media and arts, including theatre, music, journalism and advertising. Merlinka Festival
The International Queer Film Festival Merlinka or Merlinka Festival is an annual LGBT-themed film festival which is annually organized in Belgrade (since 2009), Sarajevo (since 2013) and Podgorica (since 2014). The Belgrade edition is organized in the Belgrade Youth Center during the second week of December, and it lasts for five days.
