Cuore Matto
"Cuore matto" is a song composed by Armando Ambrosino and Totò Savio, and performed by Little Tony. The song premiered at the seventeenth Sanremo Music Festival, in which Little Tony presented the song in couple with Mario Zelinotti. The single peaked at first place for nine consecutive weeks on the Italian hit parade. It sold in excess of a million copies and was awarded a gold disc in May 1967. The song also named a film, '' Cuore matto... matto da legare '', directed by Mario Amendola and starred by the same Little Tony and by Eleonora Brown. The song was later covered by several artists, including Dalida, Gianni Morandi, Teruhiko Saigō, Fausto Leali and Kati Kovács. Little Tony (singer)
Little Tony (born Antonio Ciacci; 9 February 1941 – 27 May 2013) was a Sammarinese singer and actor, who achieved success in Britain in the late 1950s and early 1960s, as the lead singer of Little Tony & His Brothers, before returning to Italy where he continued a successful career as a singer and film actor. Life and career Little Tony was born in Tivoli, Italy, but was a citizen of San Marino, where his parents were born, and never applied for Italian citizenship. He formed a rock and roll group with his two brothers, Alberto and Enrico, in 1957, naming himself Little Tony in emulation of Little Richard. The following year, the group were signed by Durium Records, who released a series of covers of American rock and roll songs by them in Italy. In 1959, the Italian singer Marino Marini, when in London, recommended the group to TV pop show producer Jack Good. Faustino (Fausto) Leali (born 29 October 1944, Nuvolento, Brescia, Italy) is an Italian pop singer. Early life Leali began his musical career as a singer in several bands in his native Brescia. His first guitar teacher was Tullio Romano, of the band Los Marcellos Ferial. Career Leali's first release was a 1962 promotional single as "Fausto Denis", for the magazine ''Nuova Enigmistica Tascabile''. He then joined the Novelty, a Beat band formed by Franco Piacibello (saxophone), Delio Ombrella (drums), Silvio Pesce (bass) and Piero Braggi (guitar) in Alessandria that had already released an EP in 1961.
