Cudgen () is a town located in north-eastern New South Wales, Australia, in the Tweed Shire. It is built on the former land of the Coodjingburra clan of the Minyungbal. There is a primary school on Collier Street, the Cudgen Public School. Demographics In the 2016 Census, Cudgen recorded a population of 857 people, 50% female and 50% male. Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League
The Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League (NRRRL) is a rugby league competition run in the far north of New South Wales, Australia. It is run under the auspices of the Country Rugby League. The league formed in 2005 as an extended Group 1 Rugby League competition, featuring teams from Group 18 Rugby League. Prior to this, teams from Group 18 played in a competition with teams from the Gold Coast region of Queensland. Both Group 1 and Group 18 continue to run junior competitions. The competitions run by NRRRL include: First grade, Reserve grade, Under-18's and Ladies League Tag. Cudgen Hornets
The Cudgen Rugby League Football Club, more commonly known as the Cudgen Hornets, was formed in 1950 and plays at Ned Byrne Field at Kingscliff. It competes in the Gold Coast Rugby League. Cudgen Hornets Seniors compete in the Gold Coast/Tweed Bycroft Cup and fields teams in the age groups of Under 17's, Under 19's, Reserve Grade, and First Grade. The Cudgen Juniors compete in the New South Wales Group 18 competition from under 7's through to under 16's. Kingscliff, New South Wales
Kingscliff is a coastal town just south of Tweed Heads in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia, and is a beach community offering a variety of holiday accommodations. Together with the villages of Chinderah and Fingal, it is a tourist destination that provides beach and estuary access for swimming, surfing, fishing and water sports. Its main street, Marine Parade, contains many cafes, shops and accommodation located directly across from Kingscliff beach and creek. The town also has two primary schools and a state high school. An oceanway allows pedestrians and cyclists to move from the historic centre of town out to the emerging new communities along the Tweed Coast in a sustainable manner.
