Fabián Alberto Cubero (born 21 December 1978) is an Argentine former professional footballer. A versatile player, Cubero started as a defensive midfielder but spent most of his career playing as a right back. During his professional career that spanned more than twenty years, Cubero played predominantly for Vélez Sarsfield, winning five league titles with the team (spread over three different decades) and becoming the most capped player in the club's history (counting both domestic and international competitions). José Miguel Cubero Loría (born 14 February 1987) is a Costa Rican footballer who plays for Liga Deportiva Alajuelense and for the Costa Rica national football team as a holding midfielder. Club career Cubero was born in Sarchí. He made his professional debut for Herediano on 26 March 2006 against Santacruceña and had a spell on loan at Puntarenas in 2009. He signed a three-year contract extension with Herediano in April 2013. On 31 July 2014, Cubero signed for Championship side Blackpool on a one-year contract with the option of a further twelve months. Captain Linda Garcia Cubero (born 1958) is a former United States Air Force officer, of Mexican-American- Puerto Rican descent who in 1980 was a member of the first class of women to graduate from the United States Air Force Academy. She is the first Hispanic woman to graduate from any service academy. Early years Cubero's father was a United States Air Force officer of Mexican-American descent and her mother of Puerto Rican ancestry. Her father was a very influential factor in her life and she decided to follow in his footsteps and apply for admission to the United States Air Force Academy. Pedro Cubero Sebastián ( El Frasno, Spain, 1645 – 1700) was a Spanish priest, best known for his eastwards travel around the world from 1670 to 1679. Taking in account his world circumnavigation and his journeys across Europe he was undoubtedly one of the most widely traveled men in his time.
