Cry Panic
''Cry Panic'' is a 1974 American television film, made-for-television mystery film directed by James Goldstone and starring John Forsythe, Earl Holliman, Ralph Meeker, Norman Alden, Claudia McNeil and Anne Francis. The film premiered as the ''ABC Movie of the Week'' on February 6, 1974 and was co-produced by Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg. Plot A man accidentally runs over and kills a pedestrian outside a small town. He begins to suspect that the locals, including the sheriff, are keeping secrets about the victim. A mystery film is a genre of film that revolves around the solution of a problem or a crime. It focuses on the efforts of the detective, private investigator or amateur Detective, sleuth to solve the mysterious circumstances of an issue by means of clues, investigation, and clever deduction. The plot often centers on the deductive ability, prowess, confidence, or diligence of the detective as he attempts to unravel the crime or situation by piecing together clues and circumstances, seeking evidence, interrogating witnesses, and tracking down a criminal. Suspense is often maintained as an important Plot (narrative), plot element. This can be done through the use of the soundtrack, camera angles, heavy shadows, and surprising plot twists. Wesley Lau
Wesley Lau (June 18, 1921August 30, 1984) was an American film and television actor, and occasional screenwriter. Early life Wesley Lau was born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. His parents were Albert and Agnes ( Feldner) Lau. He graduated from Central High School in 1939. A World War II veteran of the United States Army Air Forces, Lau studied playwriting at the University of Wisconsin and received a Master of Arts degree at Yale Drama School, later continuing his studies at The Actors Studio in New York. He took time off from college at one point to serve in World War II as part of the air corps. Although his goal in life was to be a writer, he ended up acting simply because he found more jobs as an actor than as a playwright when he arrived in New York City seeking work. Harry Leo Basch (January 16, 1926 – June 23, 2020) was an American actor and author. In 1951 he appeared in "Mr. Roberts" at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco. He is possibly best known for his role as Vince Caproni in the 1980s television series ''Falcon Crest''. Basch appeared in ''Falcon Crest'' from 1982 to 1984. He also appeared as Dr. Brown in the ''Star Trek'' episode "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" in 1966. In addition to acting, Basch wrote several articles for the ''Los Angeles Times'' about traveling. He and his wife, actress Shirley Slater, also wrote several books on the subject including ''RV Vacations for Dummies''. In the 1950s, Basch was married to actress Leesa Troy. Eddie Firestone (December 11, 1920 – March 1, 2007) was an American radio, television, and film actor who accumulated over 200 total credits during his performing career. Early life When he was 12, Firestone was in the cast of ''Wheatenaville'', broadcast on NBC's Pacific network. Career An early success was in the title role of radio's ''That Brewster Boy''. While doing that program, he also was an undergraduate student at Northwestern University. He left the program during World War II to join the United States Marine Corps in 1943, where he was commissioned, reaching the rank of captain, remaining in the Marine Corps Reserve until 1957.
