Cruzeiro Esporte Clube (), known simply as Cruzeiro, is a Brazilian sports club based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Although they compete in a number of different sports, Cruzeiro is mostly known for its association football team. It plays in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top tier of the Brazilian football league system, as well as in the Campeonato Mineiro, the States of Brazil, state of Minas Gerais's premier State football leagues in Brazil, state league. The club was founded on 2 January 1921, by sportsmen from the Italian colony of Belo Horizonte as ''Palestra Itália''. Savassi
Savassi is a neighborhood in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. It is located at the Central-South zone city district. Savassi is known for having a large number of bars, pubs, clubs, cafés, bistros, diners, restaurants, nightlife and shopping commerce. The region is regarded as one of the most prestigious and sought-after areas in Belo Horizonte. History Savassi takes its name from an Italian family, which owned a bakery in the neighborhood's main square, by that time known by its original name, Praça Diogo de Vasconcelos. In the mid-1930s the bakery was named after the family's last name. Then, the square got known as Savassi, and later the entire region was known as well. Cruzeiro, Federal District
Cruzeiro is an administrative region in the Federal District in Brazil. Created in 1965, Cruzeiro is divided into two broad sections: the original town, Cruzeiro Velho, made up mostly of one- and two-story houses, and the 1970 Cruzeiro Novo, made up of several similar four-story buildings. History Cruzeiro was originally conceived as residential area to host public servants from the old capital, Rio de Janeiro whose workplaces would be moved to Brasília, such as clerical workers, firemen, policemen and military officers and their families. Cruzeiro hosts two military areas, one of which contains the Armed Forces Hospital (HFA) and the Urban Military Sector (SMU), a military housing project. In 1974 and 1989, respectively, the neighborhoods of Octogonal and Sudoeste (SHCSW) were built up inside Cruzeiro. Cruzeiro (Portuguese meaning the Southern Cross, the Brazilian national symbol) is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. It is located about from the state capital. Olhalvo () is a parish of the municipality of Alenquer, in western Portugal. Its population in 2011 was 1,907. Olhalvo has an area of 8.30 km². Ana Bela Cruzeiro
Ana Bela Cruzeiro (born 1957) is a Portuguese and Swiss mathematician whose research concerns stochastic analysis and the Malliavin calculus, as well as the differential equations used to model fluid dynamics and quantum mechanics. She is a professor of mathematics at the Instituto Superior Técnico, part of the University of Lisbon. Education and career After earning a master's degree in mathematics at the University of Lisbon in 1980, Cruzeiro studied mathematics at Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, earning a diplôme d'études approfondies in 1982, a doctorat de troisième cycle in 1983, and a doctorat d'état in 1985.
