Cruz Carbajal
Cruz Carbajal (born 3 May 1974) is a Mexican former professional Boxing, boxer who competed from 1992 to 2012. He is the younger brother of International Boxing Hall of Fame, Hall of Fame boxer Michael Carbajal. Professional career After making his debut in 1992, Carbajal won 14 of his first 17 fights. He suffered six consecutive losses mid-way through his career, including decisions to future world champions Johnny Bredahl, Lehlohonolo Ledwaba and Néstor Garza, and knockout losses to Samson Dutch Boy Gym and Julio Ceja (boxer), Julio Ceja. WBO bantamweight title Carbajal captured the World Boxing Organisation, WBO bantamweight title from Mauricio Martinez in March 2002. He made two successful defences of the title, against Danny Romero (boxer), Danny Romero and Gerardo Espinoza, before losing it to Ratanachai Sor Vorapin. Super flyweight, also referred to as junior bantamweight, is a boxing weight classes, weight class in professional boxing, contested from and up to . History The first title match in this division was in 1980, when the World Boxing Council responded to pressure from Asian and Latin American members who felt the difference between the flyweight limit and the bantamweight limit was too significant. Rafael Orono won the inaugural title in February of that year by defeating Lee Seung-hoon (boxer), Seung-Hoon Lee. Ratanachai Sor Vorapin
Ratanachai Sor Vorapin (born November 1, 1976) is a professional boxer and a former WBO bantamweight champion. He is the younger brother of Ratanapol Sor Vorapin, a former IBF strawweight champion. He is considered one of the few Thai boxers who have the opportunity to fight abroad very often. Sor Vorapin has fought 16 times abroad. Professional career After winning 6 consecutive matches, he fought Ruangroj Kiatkriangkrai for the Thai light flyweight championship where he won by unanimous decision on September 28, 1992. In his first defense of that title 73 days later, he lost to Kompayak Chor Charoen on points and tasted his first defeat. He regained it on March 26, 1994 with TKO victory over Suksawat Torboonlert in two rounds. Super bantamweight, also known as junior featherweight, is a weight class in professional boxing, contested from and up to . There were attempts by boxing promoters in the 1920s to establish this weight class, but few sanctioning organizations or state athletic commissions would recognize it. Jack Wolf won recognition as champion when he beat Joe Lynch at Madison Square Garden on September 21, 1922, but afterwards the weight division fell into disuse.
