Buck Crump
Norris Roy ("Buck") Crump, (July 30, 1904 – December 26, 1989) was a Canadian businessman and President of the Canadian Pacific Railway Limited. He was primarily responsible for converting the railroad to diesel locomotives, and expanded the company into non-transportation sectors. Early life and education Crump was born in Revelstoke, British Columbia. His father was a railway superintendent. Crump joined the CPR as an apprentice machinist in 1920, when he was sixteen years old. In between working for the railway, he earned a bachelors and in 1936 a master's degree at Purdue University. Crimes Allan Baker and Kevin Crump were convicted criminals who met in prison while serving sentences for such offences as breaking and entering and larceny. After they were released, they met up and opted for a life of robbing for a living and murder. Josiah Crump
Josiah Crump ( – February 15, 1890) was an African American postal clerk and at one point in 1879, was the only one in the city of Richmond, Virginia. Crump also served as a military captain in one of Richmond's militias and served on the city's council for about ten years. He was also an ally of Elizabeth Van Lew, a Virginia abolitionist that also operated a spy ring during the Civil War. George William Crump (September 26, 1786 – October 1, 1848) was a member of the United States House of Representatives in the 19th United States Congress and the U.S. Ambassador to Chile. Biography Crump was born in Powhatan County, Virginia. Crump attended then Washington College (now Washington and Lee University) from sometime around 1800 to 1804.
