The Mike Judge Collection
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things already mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with pronouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of pronoun ''thee'') when followed by a v ...

Butt-Head
Butt-Head is a fictional character and one of the two protagonists from the MTV/Paramount+ animated series '' Beavis and Butt-Head''. He is voiced by the show's creator, Mike Judge. Judge got the name Butt-Head from his university days, when he knew a couple of other students who had the nicknames 'Iron Butt' and 'Butt-Head'. Characteristics Of the title characters, Butt-Head appears to be the leader of the two. He is calmer, older, cockier and slightly more intelligent and self-aware than Beavis, but is oblivious to subtleties, is semi-literate and still significantly more dimwitted than the other characters in the show. Regardless, as the 'leader', he is usually confident in everything he says and does – no matter how ridiculous or frivolous it is. Dan Tobin of ''The Boston Phoenix'' described Butt-head as "ringleader, the devious visionary." Butt-Head seems to be the lazier and crueler of the two. He never seems to react to things unless they catch his attention, in w ...

The characters originated in Judge's 1992 short film '' Frog Baseball'', which was broadcast by MTV's animation showcase ''Liquid Television''. After MTV commissioned a full series, ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' ran for seven seasons from 1993 to 1997. It was revived with an eighth season aired on MTV in 2011. A second revival, consisting of an initial two-season order, premiered on Paramount+ in 2022. During its initial run, ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' received critical acclaim for its satirical, scathing commentary on society, as well as criticism for its alleged influence on adolescents. It produced various other media, including the theatrical film ''Beavis and Butt-Head Do America'' in 1996. A se ...

In 2003, during a short break from Black Label Society (as front-man Zakk Wylde was focusing on a full-time tour with Ozzy Osbourne), Nunenmacher reunited with Kirk Windstein and wrote and recorded Crowbar's ''Lifesblood for the Downtrodden'' album, which had Pantera's Rex Brown on bass guitar, and a guest performance on the track "Lifesblood" by former BLS bass guitarist Steve Gibb on guitar. In 2006, he launched his website. However, sometime since then the domain right expired and it is now overtaken ...

Crowbar (American Band)
Crowbar is an American sludge metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1990. The band is fronted by vocalist/guitarist Kirk Windstein, Crowbar's sole constant member. Through infusing a slow, low-keyed, brooding doom metal sound with the aggression of hardcore punk, they pioneered a style known as sludge metal – albeit Windstein admitted a mild dislike to the term – alongside other bands of the New Orleans heavy metal scene such as Eyehategod, Soilent Green, Acid Bath, and Down. History Origins (1988–1991) The band dates back to 1988, when Kirk Windstein joined the New Orleans hardcore punk band ShellShock. He met Jimmy Bower, who was their drummer, and they quickly became friends. The band collapsed when Mike Hatch, their guitarist, committed suicide in late 1988. The band hence replaced Hatch with Kevin Noonan and continued under the new name, Aftershock. Under that name they released a demo in mid-1989 and then renamed themselves again as Wrequiem, with their ba ...
