AMC Ambassador
The Ambassador is an automobile manufactured and marketed by American Motors Corporation (AMC) from 1957 through 1974 over eight generations, available in two- and four-door sedan, two-door hardtop, four-door station wagon as well as two-door convertible body styles. It was classified as a full-size car from 1957 through 1961, Mid-size car, mid-size from 1962 until 1966, and again full-size from 1967 through 1974 model years. When discontinued, the ''Ambassador'' nameplate had been used from 1927 until 1974, the longest continuously used car nameplate until then. The ''Ambassador'' nameplate was used variously as the Ambassador V-8 by Rambler, Rambler Ambassador, and finally AMC Ambassador. Previously, the nameplate Nash Ambassador, Ambassador applied to Nash Motors, Nash's full-size cars. The nameplate referred to a trim level between 1927 and 1931. AMC Rebel
The AMC Rebel (known as the Rambler Rebel#Fifth generation, Rambler Rebel in 1967) is a mid-size car, midsized car produced by American Motors Corporation (AMC) from the 1967 until the 1970 model year. The Rebel was positioned as the high-volume seller in the independent automaker's line of models. Nash Rambler
The Nash Rambler is a compact, front-engine, rear-drive automobile manufactured and marketed by the Nash Motors division of Nash-Kelvinator Corporation for model years 1950-1954 — as a sedan, wagon, and notably, a fixed-profile convertible body style. In a marketing breakthrough, Nash successfully established the compact market segment by using the Rambler's size and an upscale complement of features and equipment as its unique selling proposition: small and economical, but also luxurious. When Nash-Kelvinator merged with the Hudson Motor Car Company in 1954, the Rambler became a product of the resulting American Motors Corporation (AMC), which in a rare feat, subsequently reintroduced the Rambler for model years 1958-1960. Rambler Classic
The Rambler Classic is an Mid-size car, intermediate-sized automobile built and marketed by American Motors Corporation (AMC) from the 1961 through 1966 model years in three generations. The 1961 Classic line replaced the Rambler Six and V8, Rambler Six and Rambler Rebel V8 names, which were retired at the end of the 1960 model year. Initially available as a six-passenger four-door Sedan (automobile), sedan and six- or eight-passenger station wagon versions, AMC added body styles to the model line. Two-door variants became available as a "Pillar (car), post" sedan for the 1963 model year, and starting the 1964 versions, a pillar-less hardtop. A convertible was also available for the 1965 and 1966 model years. ''Motor Trend'' magazine selected AMC's Classic line for the 1963 Motor Trend Car of the Year, Car of the Year award.
