Derek Norman Crookes (born 5 March 1969) is a former South African cricketer who played 32 One Day Internationals for South Africa between 1994 and 2000. In domestic cricket he played for Natal, Gauteng, Easterns and the Highveld Lions. He was educated at Hilton College. Jason Crookes (born ) is an English rugby league footballer who plays as a or er for the Sheffield Eagles in the Betfred Championship. Background Crookes was born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. Bradford Crookes played junior rugby for Newsome in Huddersfield before signing for the Bradford Bulls in 2007. He was loaned out to Widnes Vikings for the 2008 season. 2009 season Crookes made his Super League début against Hull in Round 5. Norman Samuel Crookes (born 15 November 1935) is a former cricketer who played first-class cricket in South Africa from 1962 to 1970. Career Norman Crookes was an off-spinner and useful lower-order batsman for Natal. On his first-class debut, in the Currie Cup in 1962–63, he took 5 for 62 and 2 for 48 in Natal's victory over Western Province. He was a steady performer over the next three seasons. His most significant performance was for a South African Colts XI against the touring MCC early in the 1964–65 season, when in difficult circumstances caused by illness to several of the team he scored 60 and 25 and took 2 for 66 and 5 for 102 and almost brought off a surprise victory.''Wisden'' 1966, pp. 799–800. Ralph Crookes (9 October 1846 – 15 February 1897) was an English first-class cricketer, who played one match for Yorkshire in 1879 against Kent, at Mote Park, Maidstone. Crookes was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. His only first-class outing brought him little personal glory.
