Croatian Growth
Croatian Growth ( hr, Hrvatski rast, acronym ''Hrast'' is a Croatian word for Oak tree) or Hrast-Movement for Successful Croatia was a political party in Croatia established in 2012. Its founding was initiated by several conservative Catholic NGOs, Croatian section of Radio Maria, Croatian Republican Union, Family Party, Christian Democrat politician Ante Ledić, author Hrvoje Hitrec and two candidates in 2010 Presidential elections in Croatia, historian Josip Jurčević and Miroslav Tuđman, son of first Croatian president Franjo Tuđman. The party maintains contacts with European Christian Political Movement. In the 2013 European Parliament election, Croatian Growth received 2,55% of votes, which was not enough to gain a seat. The party participated in the Patriotic Coalition at the 2015 Croatian parliamentary election. Ladislav Ilčić
Ladislav Ilčić (born on 4 August 1970), is a Croatian politician and former violinist who is currently a Member of the European Parliament since 2021. Biography Ladislav Ilčić was born in Varaždin on 4 August 1970. His father, Stanko Ilčić, is a doctor and former director of the Varaždin Health Center, also known as the leader of the Varaždin church choir Chorus liturgicus and a longtime associate of the Varaždin diocese. He graduated from the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb, Academy of Music in Zagreb, where he later completed his postgraduate studies, specializing in playing the violin. Franjo Tuđman
Franjo Tuđman (; 14 May 1922 – 10 December 1999), also written as Franjo Tudjman, was a Croatian politician and historian. Following the country's independence from Yugoslavia, he became the first president of Croatia and served as president from 1990 until his death in 1999. He was the ninth and last President of the Presidency of SR Croatia from May to July 1990. Tuđman was born in Veliko Trgovišće. In his youth, he fought during World War II as a member of the Yugoslav Partisans. After the war, he took a post in the Ministry of Defence, later attaining the rank of major general of the Yugoslav Army in 1960. Miroslav Tuđman
Miroslav Tuđman (; 25 May 1946 – 31 January 2021) was a Croatian scientist and politician, the son and eldest child of the first President of Croatia, Franjo Tuđman, and his wife Ankica. Biography Tuđman was born in Belgrade, where he completed grade school, before he moved with his family to Zagreb in 1961. He was born on his parents' 1st anniversary. He was named Miroslav after the famous writer Miroslav Krleža who was adored by his father at that period. He graduated from gymnasium and then from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb in 1970. He became part of the faculty, and received a doctorate in information sciences at the same university in 1985. In 1989 he founded the Institute for Information Studies at the Faculty. Josip Jurčević
Josip Jurčević (born 1951) is a Croatian historian and politician. Born in the village of Studenci near the southern town of Imotski, Jurčević grew up in Zagreb. He graduated in history and philosophy from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb in 1975. Josip Jurčević is the father of seven children. He is the author of several books. At the University of Osijek and at the Pedagogical University in Petrinja he has teaching positions. Hrvoje Hitrec (born 14 July 1943) is a Croatian writer, screenwriter, and politician.
