Croatia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2019
Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song " The Dream" written by Jacques Houdek, Andrea Čubrić and Charlie Mason. The song was performed by Roko. Songwriter Jacques Houdek represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song " My Friend" where he placed thirteenth in the grand final of the competition. The Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final ''Dora 2019'' to select the Croatian entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Sixteen entries competed in the national final on 16 February 2019 and "The Dream" performed by Roko was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from ten regional juries and a public televote. Roko Blažević
Roko Blažević (born 10 March 2000), also known as Roko, is a Croatian pop singer. He represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song " The Dream", having won '' Dora 2019''. Early life Blažević was born in Split to mother, Marija Saratlija-Blažević, a singer, and a father, Mario Blažević, also a singer, of the klapa genre. His brother plays upright bass. Roko's ex-girlfriend, Andrea Aužina, has participated in the same season of ''Zvijezde'' and in the third season of '' The Voice Hrvatska''. Eurovision Song Contest 2004
The Eurovision Song Contest 2004 was the 49th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Istanbul, Turkey, following the country's victory at the with the song "Everyway That I Can" by Sertab Erener. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), the contest was held at the Abdi İpekçi Arena, and, for the first time, consisted of a semi-final on 12 May, and a final on 15 May 2004. The two live shows were presented by Turkish actors Korhan Abay and Meltem Cumbul. Antonija Šola
Antonija Šola (; born 5 June 1979) is a Croatian musician, singer-songwriter, lyricist, actress and music producer. She is known for playing a main role of " Tina Bauer-Fijan" in first Croatian soap opera Zabranjena ljubav (2004-2008). In addition to her role in the series, she composed and wrote songs, and wrote the lyrics of the series' theme song. After a role in the series, she started her musician career, while also has worked on songs and album with numerous artists of Balkan Region. Vanna (singer)
Ivana Ranilović-Vrdoljak (born 1 September 1970 in Koprivnica, Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia), better known by her stage name Vanna, is a Croatian pop singer. Biography As a child, Vanna won prizes in various national children and youth festivals. Her debut was at the 1990 Zagrebfest, a music festival held in Zagreb. In that year she left her hometown to live and study in Zagreb and whilst studying, she performed in a band called BOA singing back vocals. In 1992 her professional career as a singer was launched. She joined a eurodance band called Electro Team who started to perform as hip hop and pop rap group and became an instant star. Not only was she a singer but a co-author and songwriter of all the songs performed by Electro Team. Opatija
Opatija (; it, Abbazia; german: Sankt Jakobi) is a town and a municipality in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in western Croatia. The traditional seaside resort on the Kvarner Gulf is known for its Mediterranean climate and its historic buildings reminiscent of the Austrian Riviera. Geography Opatija is located northwest of the regional capital Rijeka, about from Trieste by rail and from Pula by road.
