Croatian Olympic Committee
The Croatian Olympic Committee ( hr, Hrvatski olimpijski odbor (HOO)) is the non-profit organization representing Croatian athletes in the International Olympic Committee. The COC organizes Croatia's representatives at the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. It also organizes the Croatian contingent at smaller events such as the Mediterranean Games. Members of the committee are 44 sports federations, which elect the Executive Council composed of the president and 15 members. In 2006, the COC organized the first Croatian World Games in Zadar. Zoran Mikulić (born 24 October 1965) is a Croatian former professional handball player. Renato Vrbičić
Renato Vrbičić (21 November 1970 – 12 June 2018) was a Croatian professional water polo player and coach who was a member of the senior Croatia national team, that won the silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta. He died in a sleep at his home in Šibenik on 12 June 2018, due to a heart attack. He was buried in his hometown on 14 June 2018. Playing career As a player, Vrbičić spent most of his career with hometown club VK Šibenik. He was a part of the senior Croatia national team at the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, where they have won the silver medal. Coaching career After he finished his playing career, Vrbičić worked as an assistant coach of the junior men's Croatia national team and as assistant coach to his former teammate Denis Šupe at VK Adriatic bench. Vjekoslav Kobešćak (born 20 January 1974) is a Croatian professional water polo coach and former player. He competed in the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics, representing the Croatia national team. He is currently the head coach of VK Jug. His father Vlado is a former president of the Croatian Water Polo Federation, while his brother Dario is a former Croatian water polo player. He is married Antonia Kojan. On 3 February 2000, Kobeščak was sentenced in Municipal Court in Croatia to a one year prison sentence. Igor Hinić
Igor Hinić (born 4 December 1975) is a Croatian former professional water polo player, who was a member of the Croatia national team, that won the silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Hinić played in five consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country from 1996 to 2012. He is, jointly with Greek Georgios Afroudakis and Hungarian Tamás Kásás, the tenth athlete to compete in water polo at five Olympics. He was also voted the Croatia national team's most valuable player. He played for Primorje, Brescia, Mladost, Enka Istanbul, and was right handed. He won the Italian Championship 2003, and Turkish Championship in 2015. Currently, Hinić is the coach in his hometown of Rijeka. He is 6'8" tall and weighs 243 lbs.
