Cristóvão Tezza
Cristóvão Tezza (born 21 August 1952) is a Brazilian novelist and university professor. Biography Cristóvão Tezza was born in Lages, Santa Catarina, Brazil in 1952, but moved to Curitiba in Paraná by the time he was ten. This city would later serve as the backdrop for many of his stories, with characters visiting familiar streets and local attractions. Tezza had a variety of jobs when he was younger. His experience included time in the theater and the merchant marine, working illegally in Europe, and working as a watchmaker. He really loved this last job, but soon recognized that fixing clocks would not satisfy his desire to work with literature. By the time he was thirteen, Tezza had already finished his first book, one which he himself described as "very bad." He has published several novels, and a creative autobiography. Down's Syndrome
Down syndrome or Down's syndrome, also known as trisomy 21, is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of chromosome 21. It is usually associated with physical growth delays, mild to moderate intellectual disability, and characteristic facial features. The average IQ of a young adult with Down syndrome is 50, equivalent to the mental ability of an eight- or nine-year-old child, but this can vary widely. The parents of the affected individual are usually genetically normal. The probability increases from less than 0.1% in 20-year-old mothers to 3% in those of age 45. The extra chromosome is believed to occur by chance, with no known behavioral activity or environmental factor that changes the probability. International Dublin Literary Award
The International Dublin Literary Award ( ga, Duais Liteartha Idirnáisiúnta Bhaile Átha Chliath), established as the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award in 1996, is presented each year for a novel written or translated into English. It promotes excellence in world literature and is solely sponsored by Dublin City Council, Ireland. At €100,000, the award is one of the richest literary prizes in the world. Prix Littéraire Charles-Brisset
Prix was an American power pop band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1975 by Tommy Hoehn and Jon Tiven. The group ended up primarily as a studio project. Its recordings were produced by Tiven along with former Big Star member Chris Bell, who also played guitar and sang backup vocals. Prix is also famous of Banjo playing. Alex Chilton also participated in the recordings, along with session drummer Hilly Michaels. Although the group generated some major record label interest—notably from Mercury Records and Columbia/CBS Records—it ultimately only released a double A-side single on Ork Records in 1977 and a single on Miracle Records in 1978. Its only live performance came at a CBS Records showcase in 1976. In 1977, just as Ork Records released the first single and booked the group at CBGB, Prix broke up due both to Hoehn's unwillingness to remain in New York and to creative differences. Débora Lima Falabella (born 22 February 1979) is a Brazilian actress. Early years Débora was born in Belo Horizonte City, the daughter of actor Rogério Falabella and the lyrical singer Maria Olympia. During her childhood she became interested in acting and began to participate in plays. At fifteen she released her first professional play, Flicts, written by Ziraldo.
