Cristian Stoian
Niculae Cristian Stoian (born December 19, 1999) is a Moldovan-born Italian rugby union player. His usual position is as a Lock and he currently plays for Fiamme Oro. Biography Born in Moldavia, Stoian moved to Italy at a young age. He began playing rugby aged 15, signing up with the Rugby Anzio Club. He played an Under-16 and an Under-18 season in Anzio, before being loaned to the Roma Legio XV Rugby youth franchise for the 2016–17 season. From 2017 to 2019, while playing for the Rugby Anzio Club, Stoian was selected in the F.I.R. Academy, playing two seasons in Serie A. In 2019 he was called up in the Italy Under 20 squad that took part in the Six Nations and World Cup category, making 10 appearances. In the summer of 2019 Stoian was signed by Top10 team Fiamme Oro and for the end of 2019–20 Pro14 season and for 2020–21 Pro14 season he was named as ''Permit Player'' for Zebre. Zebre Parma (, meaning "Zebras") are an Italian professional rugby union team competing in the United Rugby Championship and EPCR competitions from the 2012–13 season. Fiamme Oro Rugby Players
Fiamme are lens-shapes, usually millimetres to centimetres in size, seen on surfaces of some volcaniclastic rocks. They can occur in welded pyroclastic fall deposits and in ignimbrites, which are the deposits of pumiceous pyroclastic density currents. The name ''fiamme'' comes from the Italian word for ''flames'', describing their shape. The term is descriptive and non-genetic. Fiamme are most typical of welded lapilli-tuffs and are commonly found in association with eutaxitic textures, best seen under the microscope. Some fiamme represent fragments of volcanic ejecta, often pumice lapilli that have been flattened by compaction and/or shear. The United Rugby Championship (URC) is an annual rugby union competition involving professional teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales. The current name was adopted in 2021 when the league expanded to include four South African teams previously from the SANZAR Super Rugby competition. The league is one of the three major professional leagues in Europe (along with the English Premiership Rugby, Premiership and the French Top 14), the most successful teams from which go forward to compete in the European Rugby Champions Cup. Since 2022–23, despite the name, South African teams have been eligible to qualify for European competition, and one South African place is guaranteed. Emerging Ireland is an Irish rugby union team that represents Ireland in the World Rugby Nations Cup. History 2013 Tbilisi Cup The team was created to offer Tier 1 level opposition for Tier 2 sides in the IRB Tbilisi Cup, held in Tbilisi, Georgia. Allen Clarke, Ian Costello and Joey Miles managed the team, with Rhys Ruddock as captain. In Emerging Ireland's opening match, they faced hosts Georgia.
