Cristian Lucian Munteanu
Cristian Lucian Munteanu (born 17 October 1980) is a Romanian footballer who plays as a central defender for Viitorul Dăești. Club career Early career Munteanu started his professional career at the age of twenty with the local club West Petrom Arad, in the Romanian Liga III. He spent a year playing for his home side. FC Bihor He was soon noticed by Liga II club FC Bihor Oradea, who bought him from Petrom Arad. There, Munteanu quickly established himself in the starting eleven and he spent four and a half years with the team, also playing in the 2003–04 Liga I. MFC Sopron In the summer of 2005 Munteanu moved to MFC Sopron in the first division of Hungary. Due to financial problems, he left after two season and 35 matches. The 2009–10 Liga I was the ninety-second season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. Unirea Urziceni were the defending champions. Teams Farul Constanța, Otopeni and Gloria Buzău were relegated at the end of the 2008–09 season. They were joined by Argeș Pitești, who were demoted upon a decision of the Professional Football League on 8 July 2009, after their owner, Cornel Penescu, was found guilty of corruption. As a consequence, 15th-placed Gaz Metan Mediaș were spared relegation. The four relegated teams were replaced by the champions and runners-up from both 2008–09 Liga II divisions. Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț and Ploiești were promoted from Seria I while Unirea Alba Iulia and Internațional Curtea de Argeș were promoted from Seria II. MFC Sopron
FC Sopron was a Hungarian football club from the town of Sopron, near the Austrian border. It was founded in 1921 as ''Soproni Postás''. The club's home stadium is Stadion Városi with a capacity of 5,300. With the beginning of the season 2007/08 Lajos Détári was appointed for being the head coach. After Antonio Righi bought the club Détári was fired (without getting paid for his work) and replaced by now head coach Vincenzo Cosco. In January 2008 their license was withdrawn by the league over unpaid taxes and payments. It was agreed that they would remain in 1. The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I.
