Adrian Cristea (born 30 November 1983) is a Romanian retired professional footballer who played as a winger. Club career Adrian Cristea, nicknamed "Prințul" ''(The Prince)'', started his career in his hometown, Iași, playing in Divizia B for Politehnica Iași. After Politehnica won its promotion from Divizia B, Cristea made his Divizia A debut on 30 July 2004 in a 2–1 loss against Rapid București. After scoring 2 goals in 15 matches in the first half of the 2004–05 season, he was transferred to Dinamo București where he was wanted by coach Ioan Andone. Alexandru Cristea (1890–1942) was the composer of the music for "Limba Noastră", current national anthem of Moldova. Biography A choir director, a composer and music teacher. Taught at the "Vasile Kormilov" music school (1928) with Gavriil Afanasiu and the "Unirea" Conservatory (1927–1929) in Chişinău with Alexandru Antonovschi (canto). He was the master of vocal music from Chişinău (1920–1940), professor of music and conductor of the choir in the boys gymnasium "Ion Heliade Rădulescu" in București (1940–1941). 2017 Westminster Attack
On 22 March 2017, a terrorist attack took place outside the Palace of Westminster in London, seat of the British Parliament. Khalid Masood, a 52-year-old Briton, drove a car into pedestrians on the pavement along the south side of Westminster Bridge and Bridge Street, injuring more than 50 people, four of them fatally. He then crashed the car into the perimeter fence of the palace grounds and ran into New Palace Yard, where he fatally stabbed an unarmed police officer. He was then shot by an armed police officer, and died at the scene. Police treated the attack as " Islamist-related terrorism". Masood said in a final text message that he was waging jihad in revenge for Western military action in Muslim countries in the Middle East. Andrei Cristea (; born 15 May 1984) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a forward. Although deployed as a forward, Cristea is better known for his pace and his range of passing instead of his goalscoring abilities, and represented the Romania national team from 2003 to 2010. Club career Cristea started football in his home town and made his debut in the Divizia A in 2001, for local club FCM Bacău. In the summer of 2004, Cristea transferred to Steaua București for a fee of $1 million. However, he did not manage to earn a first-team place there, despite scoring two goals that eliminated Valencia CF in the 2004–05 UEFA Cup season. Ludmila Cristea (born March 27, 1986 in Ştefan Vodă) is an amateur Moldovan freestyle wrestler, who played for the women's lightweight category. Since 2006, Cristea had won a total of four medals (three silver and one bronze) for the 55 kg class at the European Wrestling Championships. At age fourteen, Cristea made her official debut, as a judoka, for the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where she competed in the women's lightweight category (57 kg). Unfortunately, she lost the first preliminary round match to Netherlands' Jessica Gal, who successfully scored a yuko, but incurred a penalty for playing outside the contest area, at four minutes. Miron Cristea
Miron Cristea (; monastic name of Elie Cristea ; 20 July 1868 – 6 March 1939) was a Romanian cleric and politician. A bishop in Hungarian-ruled Transylvania, Cristea was elected Metropolitan-Primate of the Orthodox Church of the newly unified Greater Romania in 1919. As the Church was raised to a rank of Patriarchate, Miron Cristea was enthroned as the first Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church in 1925. In 1938, after Carol II banned political parties and established a royal dictatorship, he chose Cristea to be Prime Minister of Romania, a position from which he served for about a year, between 11 February 1938, and his death.
