Cris Groenendaal
Cris Groenendaal is a retired American musical theatre actor and opera singer. He has performed in the original Broadway productions of '' Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'', ''Sunday in the Park with George'', '' The Phantom of the Opera'' and '' Passion'', as well as appearing in the original cast of the 1996 Broadway revival of ''A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum''. ''The Phantom of the Opera'' is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Charles Hart, and a libretto by Lloyd Webber and Richard Stilgoe. Based on the 1910 French novel of the same name by Gaston Leroux, it tells the story of a beautiful soprano, Christine Daaé, who becomes the obsession of a mysterious, masked musical genius living in the subterranean labyrinth beneath the Paris Opéra House. Colm Wilkinson (born 5 June 1944), also known as C. T. Wilkinson, is an Irish tenor and actor who is best known for originating the lead role of Jean Valjean in ''Les Misérables'' (in the West End and Broadway) and for taking the title role in ''The Phantom of the Opera'' at the Sydmonton Festival and the original Canadian production. The New York City Opera (NYCO) is an American opera company located in Manhattan in New York City. The company has been active from 1943 through 2013 (when it filed for bankruptcy), and again since 2016 when it was revived. Nick Chopper, the Tin Woodman, also known as the Tin Man or—mistakenly—the "Tin Woodsman," is a character in the fictional Land of Oz created by American author L. Frank Baum. Baum's Tin Woodman first appeared in his classic 1900 book ''The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'' and reappeared in many other subsequent Oz books in the series.
