Bobby Crim
Bobby D. Crim (born December 10, 1931) is a former Democratic politician from Michigan who served in the Michigan House of Representatives, and who served as Speaker of the House from 1973 through 1982. Crim is the founder of the Crim Festival of Races, an annual road race event in his hometown of Flint, Michigan. He is also a co-founder of a lobbying firm, Governmental Consultant Services, Inc., along with former Senate Majority Leader Robert VanderLaan. Crim is also a trustee emeritus of Michigan State University, having served on the board in 1983 and 1984. Life In 1968, Bobby Crim served as a presidential elector. Crim, then speaker of the state house, started the Crim in Flint as a 10-mile race in 1977. In 2007, Crim appeared on Michigan Public Television's "Off the Record" program and expressed his opposition to term-limit provisions in Michigan's Constitution. Mort Crim
Mort Crim (born July 31, 1935) is an author and former broadcast journalist. Crim joined Channel 4 (soon to be named WDIV-TV) in Detroit in 1978. Crim stayed with the station 19 years before retiring from anchoring TV newscasts in 1997. Previously, he served as an anchor at WHAS-TV in Louisville, KYW-TV in Philadelphia and WBBM-TV in Chicago. Crim was considered to be a top candidate by former ABC News president Roone Arledge to be a co-anchor for ABC's '' World News Tonight'' newscast in 1978. In 1984, he hosted a technology program on PBS, ''New Tech Times''. Crim is also a founder of a Detroit area integrated marketing agency, Mort Crim Communications, Inc. Crim served as a spokesman for Majic Window Company in Wixom, Michigan, and for several years was featured in television commercials for that company. Charles Robert Crim (born July 23, 1961) is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher who played for the Milwaukee Brewers, the California Angels and the Chicago Cubs from 1987 to 1994. Career A 1979 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School, Crim went to school at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he was an All-American pitcher. He was drafted by the Brewers in the 17th round of the 1982 MLB amateur draft.
