Defining "Noncommercial" In September 2009 Creative Commons published a report titled, "Defining 'Noncommercial'". The report found that in some aspects there was public agreement on the meaning of "noncommercial", but for other aspects, there is ...

Creative Commons License
A Creative Commons (CC) license is one of several public copyright licenses that enable the free distribution of an otherwise copyrighted "work".A "work" is any creative material made by a person. A painting, a graphic, a book, a song/lyrics to a song, or a photograph of almost anything are all examples of "works".
