Crawford Productions is an Australian media production company, focused on radio and television production. Founded in Melbourne by Hector Crawford and his sister, actress and voice artist Dorothy Crawford, the company, also known as Crawfords Australia, is now a subsidiary of the WIN Corporation. Founding and early years Founded exclusively as a radio production company in 1945, Crawford Productions then specialized in drama, light entertainment, and educational programs. When broadcast television was introduced to Australia in 1956, Crawford Productions was one of the few Australian radio production houses to successfully transition to the new medium. ''Raising a Husband'' was an Australian television game show which aired in 1957 to 1958. Information on this series is extremely scarce. Based on a 3XY radio show, it was hosted by Alwyn Kurts, aired on station GTV-9 in Melbourne, and was produced by Crawford Productions. The Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, commonly referred to simply as the Gold Logie, is an award presented annually at the Australian Logie Awards. The Gold Logie was first awarded at the 2nd Annual TV Week Logie Awards, held in 1960 when the award was originally called Most Popular Personality on Australian Television. It was briefly renamed ''Best Personality on Australian Television'' in 2016-2017. For the 2018 ceremony, the award category name was reverted to Most Popular Personality on Australian Television. The winner and nominees of the Gold Logie are chosen by the public through an online voting survey on the ''TV Week'' website. ''Division 4'' is an Australian television police drama series made by Crawford Productions for the Nine Network between 1969 and 1975 for 301 episodes. Synopsis The series was one of the first dramas to follow up on the enormous success of the earlier Crawford Productions crime show ''Homicide'' and dealt with the wide variety of cases dealt with by police in the fictional Melbourne suburb of Yarra Central (modelled on St Kilda).
