Craigroyston F.C.
Craigroyston Football Club are a Scottish football club based in Edinburgh, who play their home matches at St Mark's Park in the Warriston area of the city. The team competes in the , having moved from the junior leagues in 2018. History Craigroyston were founded in 1976 by Rab Melrose, formerly the manager of Eyemouth United. Although associated with a club from the Scottish Borders, Melrose and several of his Eyemouth team were Edinburgh-based, and decided to start a club based in the city. The name of the club was taken from Craigroyston Community Centre in the north of Edinburgh, where they first played their home games. Having become members of the East of Scotland FA, Craigroyston reached the final of the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup in their first season, and also reached the semi-finals of the City Cup. Warriston
Warriston ( ) is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It lies east of the Royal Botanic Garden in Inverleith. The name derives from Warriston House, a local mansion house demolished in 1966. In July 1600 John Kincaid, the Laird of Warriston was murdered by his wife, Jean Livingstone a daughter of the Laird of Dunipace, her two female servants, and his stable hand. The women were captured and sentenced to be burnt. Warriston Cemetery was opened in 1843 and is now owned by the City of Edinburgh. Warriston Crematorium was opened on 29 October 1929 on the eastern edge of the old cemetery. It was built in 1808 as East Warriston House and converted in 1928/9. Writer Robert Louis Stevenson was born in Warriston. There is a small housing estate near Warriston Cemetery locally known as Easter Warriston. Scottish Junior Football Association, East Region
The Scottish Junior Football Association, East Region is one of two regions of the SJFA, which currently organises the Midlands Football League, Midlands League and local cup competitions. The SJFA was previously split into six regions, but in 2002 the decision was taken to reform into three to try to ensure more games between the top clubs and hence increase their revenues; at that time the East Region was created by amalgamating the former East Junior Football League, East (Lothians), Fife Junior Football League, Fife and Tayside Junior Football League, Tayside Regions. Jordyn Sheerin
Jordyn Sheerin (born 18 August 1989) is a Scottish professional footballer and current assistant manager of Lowland League team Gala Fairydean Rovers. Career East Fife and loans Sheerin started his career with East Fife, where he stayed until 2010. Unable to fully break into the first team, he was loaned out to Arniston Rangers and Camelon Juniors where he went on to win the East of Scotland Cup. After leaving East Fife, Sheerin signed for Arbroath on a free transfer. Arbroath, East Stirlingshire and Junior Sheerin moved to Arbroath looking to score his first goal for a Scottish professional team. He stayed at Arbroath for one season and was part of the side which won the Scottish Third Division. 2018–19 East Of Scotland Football League
The 2018–19 East of Scotland Football League (known as the Central Taxis East of Scotland League for sponsorship reasons) was the 90th season of the East of Scotland Football League, and the 5th season as the sixth tier of the Scottish football pyramid system. The season began on 11 August 2018 and ended on 18 May 2019. Kelty Hearts were the reigning champions but could not defend their title after being promoted to the Lowland Football League. The league saw an increase from 13 to 39 teams and was split into three parallel conferences, each containing 13 teams. The additional teams consisted of 24 clubs who applied to switch from the SJFA East Region, one from the SJFA West Region, one new team and Hawick Royal Albert who were relegated from the Lowland League.
