Craig Skinner (volleyball)
John Craig Skinner (born June 4, 1969), known as Craig Skinner, is an American collegiate women's volleyball head coach at the University of Kentucky. He is the winningest coach in Kentucky volleyball history and led Kentucky to their first-ever NCAA volleyball national championship in 2020. Personal life Skinner is a native of Muncie, Indiana and played volleyball at Ball State from 1990 to 1993 as an outside hitter. Prior to playing volleyball at Ball State, Skinner played football at Michigan for one year. Additionally, he is an avid golf player and lived in Wales for two years, taking up rugby and cricket while living there. 2009 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament
The 2009 NCAA Division I women's volleyball tournament began on December 3, 2009 with 64 teams and ended on December 19, when Penn State defeated Texas, 3-2, in the NCAA National Championship match. With the win, Penn State won its fourth overall title, and became the first team in the history of women's intercollegiate volleyball to win three straight national titles. Penn State also became the first team in NCAA history to have two straight undefeated seasons, as the 2009 squad went 38-0 for the second straight year, extending the ongoing NCAA record of consecutive matches won (102). Penn State became only the third team in NCAA history to win the national championship after trailing 0-2 in sets. The last team to accomplish the feat was UCLA in 1991. The 2006 NCAA Division I women's volleyball tournament began on November 30, 2006 with 64 teams and concluded on December 16, 2006, when top ranked Nebraska defeated second ranked Stanford 3 sets to 1 in Omaha, Nebraska for the program's third NCAA title. The 2005 NCAA Division I women's volleyball tournament began on December 1, 2005 with 64 teams and concluded on December 17, 2005, when Washington defeated Nebraska 3 games to 0 in San Antonio, Texas for the program's first NCAA title. The 2005 NCAA Final Four, held at the Alamodome, had two participants who were making the school's first-ever Final Four appearance. Fifteenth-seeded Tennessee and unseeded Santa Clara upset their way into the semifinals. The 2020 NCAA Division I women's volleyball tournament began on April 14, 2021, and concluded on April 24 at the CHI Health Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. The tournament field was announced on April 4, 2021. Typically held in the fall, this edition of the tournament was held in the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Big 12 Conference is a college athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas, USA. It consists of ten full-member universities. It is a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for all sports. John Cook (coach)
John G. Cook (born April 19, 1956) is an American volleyball head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball, Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team, who is in his 23rd season as head coach in 2022. He has led the Huskers to four NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship, national championships, in 2000 by defeating Wisconsin Badgers women's volleyball, Wisconsin, in 2006 by defeating Stanford Cardinal women's volleyball, Stanford, in 2015 by defeating Texas Longhorns women's volleyball, Texas, and in 2017 by defeating Florida Gators women's volleyball, Florida. He is a two-time winner of the AVCA National Coach of the Year award. Nebraska Cornhuskers Women's Soccer
The Nebraska Cornhuskers women's soccer team represents the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the Big Ten Conference of NCAA Division I. The program has been coached by John Walker since being established in 1994. Walker was the NSCAA National Coach of the Year in 1996 and has been named conference coach of the year three times.
