Craig Phillips
Craig Phillips (born 16 October 1971) is an English television personality and builder. He is known for winning the first series of '' Big Brother'' in 2000. He is trained as a bricklayer, and has appeared in numerous television series related to building since winning ''Big Brother''. Early life The younger of two children and born in Liverpool, his family moved to Newport, Shropshire in the late 1980s. At 18, Phillips secured a day release bricklayers apprenticeship whilst employed with Wrekin Council's construction department. He also attended further night school classes in advanced brickwork and civil engineering. Having qualified with a City & Guilds, Phillips went on to set up his own building company. ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). Peckforton Castle
Peckforton Castle is a Victorian country house built in the style of a medieval castle. It stands in woodland at the north end of Peckforton Hills northwest of the village of Peckforton, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The house was built in the middle of the 19th century as a family home for John Tollemache, a wealthy Cheshire landowner, estate manager, and Member of Parliament. It was designed by Anthony Salvin in the Gothic style. During the Second World War it was used as a hostel for physically disabled children. The Tollemache family used the castle for occasional gatherings, but otherwise it was unused until 1969. From 1969 to 1980 the castle was leased by the 4th Lord Tollemache to George W. ''60 Minute Makeover'' was a British daytime home interior design television programme broadcast on ITV, and later by Quest Red. In 2013, the show's name changed to reflect the change in presenter to Peter Andre. Format The challenge was to redecorate and makeover a number of rooms in a house in 60 minutes. The house owner is usually nominated by a relative or friend for a secret visit by the ''60 Minute Makeover'' team who remodel their house whilst they are away.
