Craig Fuller
Craig Lee Fuller (born July 18, 1949) is an American musician and songwriter. Fuller was the co-founder of Pure Prairie League, along with John David Call and George Powell. Fuller wrote and sang their first hit "Amie". He departed the band in 1973 after their second album, '' Bustin' Out'', due to draft board problems. He returned to the music business in 1976 for two LPs with American Flyer. After American Flyer dissolved, Fuller returned to record one LP with former Flyer member Eric Kaz. In 1987 Fuller was hired by Little Feat to front the band, who had long ago noticed an uncanny resemblance in his voice to that of their late founder and frontman, Lowell George. Fuller's first LP with the band was '' Let It Roll''. He recorded two further albums with Little Feat before leaving the band in 1993. Lowell George
Lowell Thomas George (April 13, 1945 – June 29, 1979) was an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer, who was the primary guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and founder/leader for the rock band Little Feat. Early life Lowell George was born in Hollywood, California, the son of Willard H. George, a furrier who raised chinchillas and supplied furs to the movie studios. George's first instrument was the harmonica. At the age of six he appeared on '' Ted Mack's Original Amateur Hour'' performing a duet with his older brother, Hampton. As a student at Hollywood High School (where he first befriended future bandmate Paul Barrere and second wife Elizabeth Levy), he took up the flute in the school marching band and orchestra. Shake Me Up
''Shake Me Up'' is the tenth studio album by the American rock band Little Feat, released in 1991 (see 1991 in music). It was the last album they recorded with frontman Craig Fuller. It is also their only album to feature no lead vocals from keyboardist Bill Payne. Among the album's contributors were Bonnie Bramlett (now Sheridan) who had last featured with the group on Dixie Chicken in 1973 and Valerie Carter who had worked closely with the group's founder Lowell George in his latter years. Another backing vocalist, Shaun Murphy, got to sing lead on a line of ''Spider's Blues (Might Need It Sometime)''. Murphy would join the group in Craig Fuller's place after he left in 1993. Sam Clayton
Sam Clayton (born March 30, 1952) is an American singer and percussionist, primarily focusing on drums, conga and djembe, throughout his musical career. He is best known as a supporting vocalist and percussionist with the American rock band Little Feat since 1972. History As a young man, he was influenced by R&B music, and gospel music. He is the brother of singer Merry Clayton and the brother-in-law of jazz flautist and saxophonist Curtis Amy. After seeing Lester Horton and the modern dancers, "Zapata", he was enthralled by the conga player. However, it wasn't until a chance opportunity to sit in with a house band for a song on the congas at a farewell dinner, just as he was laid off from his employment in electro-mechanical engineering drafting, that Clayton was offered the chance to join a band and play. ''Join the Band'' is a 2008 album recorded by Little Feat. Their first studio album in five years, it features no new original songs but is a set of collaborations with other artists such as Bob Seger, Emmylou Harris, Dave Matthews and Inara George. It was released on July 1, 2008. The album was recorded at Jimmy Buffett's studio and co-produced by Feat keyboard player Bill Payne with Mac McAnally of Buffett's Coral Reefer Band. "Something in the Water" was originally recorded by co-writer Jeffrey Steele. It also turned out to be the band's last work with singer Shaun Murphy, with whom they parted company in 2009, and with drummer Richie Hayward who died from cancer in 2010.
