Craig Eddie
Craig Eddie is a Scottish singer from New Carron, Falkirk. He won the tenth series of ''The Voice UK''. Early life Craig was born in New Carron, Falkirk to Craig and Tracey Eddie, and attended St. Mungo's High School. Before pursuing music, he worked in a call centre, an Asda warehouse and in Greggs. Career In 2021, Craig auditioned for the tenth series of ''The Voice UK ''The Voice UK'' is a British singing competition television series. Created by John de Mol, it premiered on BBC One during the spring television cycle on 24 March 2012. Based on the original '' The Voice of Holland'', and part of ''The Voice ...'', and joined Anne-Marie's team. After performing his own composition "Come Waste My Time", he was announced as the winner of the series. Personal life Craig suffers from anxiety and depression, but says music is his therapy and it gets him through hard times. Carron, Falkirk
Carron ( gd, Carrann) is a village in the Falkirk council area of Scotland. It is in the Forth Valley, about north of Falkirk, north-west of Grangemouth and southeast of Stenhousemuir. Carron is contiguous with village of Carronshore to the east. Carron is north of the River Carron. The B902 road runs through Carron. The 2001 Census recorded Carron's population as 2,567. Carron Company The Carron Company ironworks was founded in Carron in 1759. The company introduced to Scotland the then novel method of smelting iron using coke instead of charcoal. They were associated with Boulton & Watt both as suppliers and customers. By 1814 they company was reputed to be the largest ironworks in Europe, employing 2,000 men. It developed the carronade, a short barrelled cannon. The company became insolvent in 1987 and was resurrected as Carron Phoenix. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming. The OCC produces its charts by gathering and combining sales data from retailers through market researchers Kantar, and claims to cover 99% of the singles market and 95% of the album market, and aims to collect data from any retailer who sells more than 100 chart items per week. The UK Singles Downloads Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on behalf of the music industry. Since July 2015, the chart week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the chart date given as the following Thursday. The main chart contains the Top 200 downloads (which are published in ''UKChartsPlus''), with the top 100 published on the OCC website. The chart only uses sales of ''permanent digital downloads'', that is single-download tracks on non-subscription online music stores. Some downloading services offer a monthly fee plan where generally an unlimited number of tracks can be downloaded within a month for a certain price.
