Craig Dack
Craig Dack is an Australian motorcycle champion who has driven Yamaha Motor Australia's official Motocross team since retiring as a professional rider at the end of 1992 with great success. Known as the "Dack Attack", Craig Dack's personal successes as a rider in Australia and internationally, include winning a record four consecutive Mr Motocross titles, three Manjimup titles, two 250cc and 500cc Australian Motocross Championships, a New Zealand 250cc Motocross Championship, two Supercross Masters titles, a 250cc Supercross Championship and represented Australia in the World Motocross teams event six times, from 1986 to 1991, bringing invaluable experience to the team. Motocross
Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom. History Motocross first evolved in Britain from motorcycle trials competitions, such as the Auto-Cycle Clubs's first quarterly trial in 1909 and the Scottish Six Days Trial that began in 1912. When organisers dispensed with delicate balancing and strict scoring of trials in favour of a race to become the fastest rider to the finish, the activity became known as "hare scrambles", said to have originated in the phrase, "a rare old scramble" describing one such early race. Manjimup, Western Australia
Manjimup is a town in Western Australia, south of the state capital, Perth. The town of Manjimup is a regional centre for the largest shire in the South West region of Western Australia. At the 2016 census, Manjimup had a population of 4,349. History Manjimup was named after the Noongar words "Manjin" (a broad-leafed edible reed) and " up" (meeting place, or place of). Manjimup was first settled by timber cutter Thomas Muir, who took up land near the present town site in 1856. It was declared a town in 1910, and a railway from Perth was completed in 1911. The population expanded when Manjimup became part of the post-World War I Group Settlement Scheme. The Group Settlement Scheme was largely unsuccessful because the land was difficult to clear and many of the new settlers were not experienced farmers. Craig Anderson (motocross)
Craig 'Ando' Anderson is an Australian professional motocross racer from West Wallsend in the Hunter Valley Region of New South Wales. In 2003, Anderson travelled to the United States to compete in the AMA 125cc national championship for the Yamaha of Troy team, he finished the year in seventh place overall and collected one win at Southwick, Massachusetts. Anderson was fired from the team following the season despite having two years remaining on his contract. In 2004, he moved up to the 250cc AMA national championship where he finished in 17th place overall. Chad Mark Reed (born 15 March 1982, in Kurri Kurri, Australia) is an Australian motocross and supercross racer. He is a multi-time champion record holder for the most main event starts in AMA Supercross history, with 265 starts as of 21 June 2020, his career spanning almost 20 years.
