Carboxypeptidase D is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ''CPD'' gene. The directive is now replaced by Regulation (EU) No 305/2011. It is required in order to take a motor vehicle into a significant number of countries around the world. The town may have been named after Mount Carmel in Israel.
