Allen Stephen Covert (born October 12, 1964) is an American comedian, actor, writer, and producer. He is best known for his starring role in the 2006 comedy film '' Grandma's Boy'', and his supporting actor role in the movie ''Strange Wilderness'' (2008). He is a frequent collaborator with actor and friend Adam Sandler with prominent roles in such films as ''Happy Gilmore'' (1996), ''The Wedding Singer'' (1998), '' Big Daddy'' (1999), ''Little Nicky'' (2000), ''Mr. Deeds'' (2002), ''Anger Management'' (2003), ''50 First Dates'' (2004) and ''I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry'' (2007). Frank Manning Covert
Frank Manning Covert, (January 13, 1908 – November 1, 1987) was a Canadian lawyer. Born in Canning, Kings County, Nova Scotia, the son of Dr. A.M. Covert and Minnie A. (Clarke) Covert, he graduated from Dalhousie University in 1929 at the top of his class. He joined the law firm of Stewart McKeen in 1930 where he mentored under James McGregor Stewart and became a partner in 1936. It later became Stewart McKelvey, the largest law firm in Atlantic Canada. From 1940 to 1942, he served with the Department of Munitions and Supply and was a protégé of the C.D. Howe. He enlisted in the RCAF in September 1942. On May 10, 1945, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. A well known corporate director, he served on more than 50 corporate boards, including the Royal Bank of Canada. James Paul "Jimbo" Covert (born March 22, 1960) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons during the 1980s and early 1990s. Covert played college football for the University of Pittsburgh, and was recognized as an All-American. He was selected in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the NFL's Chicago Bears. Early years Covert was born in Conway, Pennsylvania. He excelled in both football and wrestling at Freedom Area High School in Beaver County, west of Pittsburgh. In football, Covert led the 1977 Freedom Bulldogs, with an undefeated 11–0 record, to the Midwestern Athletic Conference (MAC) Championship as a senior. John Covert (painter)
John Covert (1882 – 1960) was an American painter born in Pittsburgh, USA. Life and career Covert began his formal studies in painting at the Pittsburgh School of Design in 1902 under Martin Leisser and then, upon receiving a German government art scholarship, traveled to Munich, Germany in 1909 to attend the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste, where he mentored under Carl Marr, another American. In 1912 he went to Paris, France, where he stayed for two years, until the beginning of World War I in 1914, after which he moved to New York City. He was a close friend of Marcel Duchamp, a founding member and first secretary of the Society of Independent Artists, a participant in the Societe Anonyme, and a notable Dadaist in the Arensberg Circle, at the forefront of American Modernism. Ralph Covert (born May 25, 1962) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, performer, producer, playwright, actor, educator, and record company executive. He is the lead singer of children's music group Ralph's World and lead singer of the Chicago based indie-rock band The Bad Examples. Ralph's World was nominated for Best Musical Album for Children at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards. Among his many songs, he has a writing credit for the song "Not Dead Yet", featured on the Styx album ''Edge of the Century'', released in 1990. Along with G.
