''Cover Stories'' is a charity tribute album in which various artists cover songs from Brandi Carlile's 2007 studio album, '' The Story''. Benefits from the album, which was released on May 5, 2017, will benefit the organization War Child UK. Background and development Brandi Carlile's album '' The Story'' was released in 2007. In 2011, Adele released a cover version of the song "Hiding My Heart" as a bonus track on her 2011 album '' 21''. This recording served as the "original inspiration" of ''Cover Stories''. Americana (music)
Americana (also known as American roots music) is an amalgam of Music of the United States, American music formed by the confluence of the shared and varied traditions that make up the musical ethos of the United States, specifically those sounds that are emerged from the Southern United States such as Folk music, folk, gospel music, gospel, blues, Country music, country, jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, Bluegrass music, bluegrass, and other external influences. Aaron Brooking Dessner (born April 23, 1976) is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer. Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1990. Margo Rae Price (born April 15, 1983) is an American country singer-songwriter and producer based in Nashville, Tennessee. ''The Fader'' has called her "country's next star." Mackenzie Ruth Scott (born January 23, 1991) is an American indie rock singer-songwriter who performs as Torres. Early life Scott was born in Orlando, Florida, United States, and adopted at birth.
