Courtney Whitmore (comics)
Courtney Elizabeth Whitmore, known as Stargirl (often called Stars or Star), is a superhero created by Geoff Johns and Lee Moder who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character's name, appearance, and personality were patterned after Johns' 18-year-old sister Courtney, who died in the explosion of TWA Flight 800 in 1996. Courtney Whitmore was originally known as the second Star-Spangled Kid, but she began using the name "Stargirl" after she was presented with the Cosmic Staff by Jack Knight. Stargirl has appeared in ''Justice League Unlimited'', '' Batman: The Brave and the Bold'', ''Justice League Action'', and ''Young Justice''. She has also appeared in live-action shows ''Smallville'' played by Britt Irvin, ''Legends of Tomorrow'' played by Sarah Grey, and in her own television series played by Brec Bassinger. Todd Nauck
Todd Nauck ( ) is an American comic book creator, comic book artist and writer. Nauck is most notable for his work on ''Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,'' ''Young Justice'' and his own creation, ''Wildguard (comics), Wildguard''. Career Nauck's first assignment from Marvel Comics was writing, penciling and inking "Mutant Mishaps", a story that was published on the back cover of ''What The--?!'' #21 (September 1992). He subsequently wrote and illustrated the "Mutant Mishaps" story that appeared in ''What The--?'' #25 (Summer 1993). In early 1994, Todd was hired by Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios of Image Comics when a friend from art school showed his ''WildGuard'' work to Dan Fraga at a comic book convention, who in turn showed it to Liefeld, which led to Nauck's first Image work. Justice League Unlimited
''Justice League Unlimited'' (''JLU'') is a 2004–2006 American superhero animated television series that was produced by Warner Bros. Animation and aired on Cartoon Network. Featuring a wide array of superheroes from the DC Comics universe, and specifically based on the Justice League superhero team, it is a direct sequel to the previous ''Justice League'' animated series and picks up around two years after where ''Justice League'' left off. Like its predecessor, the show is also a prequel to ''Batman Beyond''. ''JLU'' debuted on July 31, 2004, on Toonami and ended on May 13, 2006. It is the eighth and final series of the DC Animated Universe, which started with '' Batman: The Animated Series'' in 1992. Sylvester Pemberton
Sylvester Pemberton, alternately known as The Star-Spangled Kid and Skyman, is a superhero in the DC Comics universe. Sylvester first appeared in ''Star Spangled Comics'' #1 (October 1941) and was created by Jerry Siegel and Hal Sherman. Starting October 1941, the character headlined his own comic, ''Star Spangled Comics'', which introduced his sidekick, Stripesy. Fall 1941 was a boom period for patriotic superheroes as the country prepared to enter World War II; during this period, comic book publishers also launched Miss Victory, Miss America, U.S. Jones, the Fighting Yank, the Flag, Captain Flag and Yank and Doodle, among others. The Star-Spangled Kid and his sidekick, Stripesy, appeared in ''Star Spangled Comics'' until issue #86 (November 1948). Pat Dugan
S.T.R.I.P.E. (short for Special Tactics Robotic Integrated Power Enhancer) is a superhero in the DC Comics Universe. S.T.R.I.P.E. is a powered armor suit invented and worn by Patrick "Pat" Dugan, the former adult sidekick to teenage superhero Sylvester Pemberton, the Star-Spangled Kid. "Stripesy", as he was originally called, is a gifted mechanic who built the Star Rocket Racer, a bubble-topped limousine with the functions of a rocket and helicopter. Together, they were members of the Seven Soldiers of Victory and the All-Star Squadron.
