Courtney Hicks
Courtney Hicks (born December 15, 1995) is an American figure skater. She has won two medals on the Grand Prix series—silver at the 2015 NHK Trophy and bronze at the 2016 Rostelecom Cup—and two medals on the ISU Challenger Series. She took gold at two other senior internationals, the 2013 Ice Challenge and U.S. Classic. Personal life Courtney Hicks was born on December 15, 1995 in Placentia, California. The eldest of three girls, she is of Russian descent through her mother who has three Russian grandparents. Career Hicks began skating in 2001. She placed 5th in the novice event at the 2010 U.S. Championships. 2010–11 to 2012–13 Hicks won the junior title at the 2011 U.S. Championships. Miki Ando
is a retired Japanese figure skater. She is the 2007 and 2011 World champion, 2011 Four Continents champion, 2004 World Junior champion, and a three-time (2003, 2004 & 2010) Japanese national champion. Ando is the first female skater to complete a quadruple jump successfully in competition. She accomplished this at the 2002–03 Junior Grand Prix Final in The Hague, Netherlands. Personal life Ando was born on December 18, 1987 in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Her father died in a traffic accident when she was eight years old. 2013 Skate Canada International
The 2013 Skate Canada International was the second event of six in the 2013–14 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Harbour Station in Saint John, New Brunswick on October 24–27. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. 2013 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2013 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2012–13 season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event was held in Milan, Italy from 25 February to 3 March 2013. Qualification The competition was open to skaters from ISU member nations who were at least 13 but not 19—or 21 for male pair skaters and ice dancers—before July 1, 2012 in their place of birth. The 2011–12 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the 15th season of the series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the junior-level complement to the 2011–12 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating contested by senior-level skaters. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance.
