Court Moor School
Court Moor School is one of two secondary schools in the town of Fleet, in Hampshire ( UK) for pupils aged 11–16. History The site for the school was purchased in 1957 for £3,810 by Hampshire County Council. Fleet Secondary Modern School, the earliest school in the town, moved onto the site in 1960 and reopened as Court Moor School on 11 May. At the time, the school had only one building, 500 students and 20 teachers. Court Moor became a comprehensive school in 1974 and is part of the Hart school district. The school's name derives from Dinorben Court, which used to be where Dinorben Close and Dinorben Avenue are now, and a moor that used to be adjacent to the estate. The school is adjacent to the Basingstoke Canal and part of its site is designated a nature conservation area. The school gate is narrow because it was originally intended to be the trade entrance. Darren Campbell (born 16 April 1986) is a footballer who plays as a winger. He began his career at Reading and was most recently attached to Isthmian League side Fleet Town. Born in England, he represented both the England U17 and the Scotland U17 national teams at international level. Elaine Vassie (born 10 October 1981 in Paisley, Scotland) is a professional rugby union coach. She is the assistant general manager and attack coach of Major League Rugby side Dallas Jackals. Helen Reeves (born 6 September 1980 in Fleet, Hampshire) is a British slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1996 to 2004. Isobel Pooley
Isobel Pooley (born 21 December 1992) is a former British track and field athlete who specialises in the high jump. She won a silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Career Pooley's first high jump was in the gymnasium at Court Moor School. As a teenager, Pooley competed at both the World Junior Championships and European Junior Championships, failing to reach the final. In 2012, she improved her best from 1.86m, first to 1.88 m indoors then to 1.90m, which she cleared at the Bedford Games in June. She competed at that year's European Championships in Helsinki, where she was eliminated in the qualifying round with a best of 1.78m. Keith William Hooker (born 31 January 1950) is an English retired professional footballer who played as a wing half in the Football League for Brentford. Career Brentford Hooker progressed through the Brentford youth team to make his senior debut at age 16 in a 0–0 Fourth Division draw with Wrexham on 14 January 1967, due to an injury crisis.
