''Coup de Grace'' is a postmortem released by punk / metal band The Plasmatics in 2000. The album is the original demo of the album '' Coup d'Etat''. Plasmatics
The Plasmatics were an American punk rock, hardcore punk and heavy metal band formed by Rod Swenson and Wendy O. Williams in New York City in 1977. They were a controversial group known for chaotic, destructive live shows and outrageous theatrics. These included chainsawing guitars, destroying speaker cabinets, sledgehammering television sets and blowing up automobiles live on stage. Williams was arrested in Milwaukee by the Milwaukee Police before being charged with public indecency.Skanse The Plasmatics' career spanned five studio albums and multiple EPs. Crossover thrash (often abbreviated to crossover) is a fusion genre of thrash metal and hardcore punk. The genre lies on a continuum between heavy metal and hardcore punk. Daniel Earl Hartman (December 8, 1950 – March 22, 1994) was an American rock musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. Among songs he wrote and recorded were " Free Ride" as a member of the Edgar Winter Group, and the solo hits "Relight My Fire", "Instant Replay", "I Can Dream About You", "We Are the Young" and " Second Nature". "I Can Dream About You", his most successful song, reached No. 6 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1984 and No. 12 on the UK Singles Chart in 1985. The James Brown song " Living in America", which Hartman co-wrote and produced, reached No. 4 on March 1, 1986.
